Fitted a new screen washer pump. Took 2.5 hours because i had to do it twice after realising i'd hooked up the pipes the wrong way round so the rear was spraying when i wanted the front to and vice versa! :\ Snapped one of those stupid screw shaped plastic clips. Anyone know if I can buy new ones?

Only ever traded in one console - the megadrive. Gutted I don't have it now. Worst way to save £100. It's nice to know you have the old consoles/games knocking about but in reality they never really get used.

If the car is returned they'll just slap a new filter in there and sell it again. Some poor bugger will end up with this car and be none the wiser :rage:

It's a bristol street motors. I've not spoken to head office, only dealt with Renault UK and the dealership so far.

I did tell them that was the only reason i spent so much getting it trailered to them. She was unmoved. 10 hours to remove the engine and see what needs replacing :unamused:

Bloody joke isn't it? I had a (relatively near by) offer to fit another engine for almost the same cost it took to get it trailered to them! Stupid move I know but i was holding onto a dream of keeping my own original engine.

A little update for anyone who's interested: I had the car trailered up to the dealer at the beginning of the month and left it with them. Just had a phone call this morning from them saying that having spoken "extensively" to Renault UK, they will now NOT be covering the cost of investigation...

I can't imagine writing off a mates car. Sad for all involved :confused:
