Dash cuts look nice and neat. You need to get the inside painted as it would look so much better. It may also of been an idea to put the seat on weld in bars as it would of future proof it if you wanted to go racing or rallying.

The little Twingo can surprise people on the twisty stuff, especially roads I have done on road rallys and roads I grew up on in Scotland. It is amazing how many people with proper fast cars can't drive for s**t lol

I would of thought even if you couldn't use it in some racing championships. There is getting enough clio's in rallying to possibly make it viable if the cost isn't to high. I know the rear can be an issue on the clio/twingo on bumpy stuff. There is some good videos of Chris Ingram in the r2...

f**king chevette's lost you a good bit of time there.

Used to rate the 3's for the road rally cars as they are brilliant in the wet and muddy lanes. I am half tempted by the 5's to use as wets for the rally car. Had 3's on the scenic but as above didn't last ages but still getting on towards 20k on the front.

Looks like a fun project! It will take some time getting it to handle as I would imagine with that wheel base it will like to swap ends!

I have over 120kg out of the Twingo and still got loads to go so should make 200bhp per tonne out of the wee Twingo. Think I only saved 2kg with the front door glass changed to plastic. You save loads more gutting the inside of the doors.

You can get the clio Estate in 1.6 vvt guise so why not turbo that? @bloke is your man to talk to for that. Surely that is a lot easier than an engine swap.

I don't have a clio (got a Twingo) but would an internal fuel line kit be good as more and more 172/182 are becoming rally cars so the lines have to be run inside. Just a thought!

Don't think I could do lhd. I know his car was a giant killer it was always quick when I seen it and got very good results. So if its better should be good! I will be happy to even get back out on the stages at the back in my little shopping car.

So are them subframes just bolted to the original seat mounting points or on welded in bars? They definitely shouldn't of done what they have given that the hit wasn't as bad as it could of been.
