Mine failed about 18 months ago also on the driver's side, not good when it just started pissing down on the motorway lol.
The mechanism is a ball and socket , it had completely worn through the socket. I got a 2nd hand one off eBay and has been ok since ( touch wood ).
There's no way to...
I have one of these linked to Torque pro.
They're very limited in what they do.
I've only ever used it to scan and clear fault codes.

Another vote for Torchy too.
I've still got some Samsung's off him going strong after 5 years that are used every day.
As @R3k1355 says , I avoid ebay sellers cos you can't be totally be sure about the quality.
Never hear of those Falkens. Just had a quick look on tyrereviews and they come out better than Michelin PS3's as an all round tyre.
I might have a look at them when it comes time for some new tyres (y)
The one on eBay looks alot rustier than yours , maybe deeper than just surface rust.
I don't suppose you have the master cylinder and reservoir to go with it ?
For the last few years I ran Uniroyal Rainsport 2's then Rainsport 3's. I doubt you'll find a better wet weather tyre, no problems in the dry when pushing on. The downside of these tyres is the piss poor wear rate.
I'm currently running Avon ZV7's , so far so good 3k miles in and still lots of...
Cheers for all the info. Much appreciated (y) I'll keep my eye out for a servo , looked on eBay and there's one that's rusty as f**k.
I'll have a look and see if the pipes melted.
Just got to wait for a dry day and I'll try and sort the caliper out.
So worse case scenario is the servos fucked and maybe the MC too.
Do I go 2nd hand for the parts? The other problem would be finding a garage that can do it then bleed the system using clip to fire the ABS and get all the air out of the system.
I had a quick look on autodoc/onlinecarparts. All...
I had an eezibleed donkeys years ago when I had my 172 , the cap didn't fit so I threw in the back of the garage . I must have binned it some time after cos I can't find it now.
So if I check and the servo is rusty as f**k , what then?
It's beyond me doing any jobs like that my back and knees are fucked with arthritis. It takes me all my time to change brake discs and pads these days.
I have read that seized rear caliper can cause a problem with spongy brakes ? I had...
What are the symptoms if the m/c seals are knackered ?
I've always bled them foot flat to the floor.
I'm still having problems I posted about in December. Bleed the brakes , fine for a couple of weeks then back to long pedal travel. I have to quickly jab the brakes to build up any pressure or...
Renault branded type D coolant is a bright green/yellow colour , always has been as far as I know. But i have seen cars with a pink/red coolant, probably not Renault branded.
It's only 16 quid for 5 litres so stick with that...
" Good " and " Toyo " aren't normally used in the same sentence. Lots of decent tyres out there that are so much better, do a search on here.
www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk for lots of parts you're after replacing, suspension , bushes etc .......
Welcome to CS
I can't copy the link for some reason.
If you type in eBay you should find them. f**k knows why it's come up in big letters lol.
M7X1.00MM HEL PERFORMANCE STAINLESS STEEL BLEED NIPPLES SCREWS HEL1001A
@Dr Jekyll
I can only assume different manufacturers have different lengths.
These are my non stainless nipples. The stainless I'm using are definitely slightly longer.
I've got a brand new caliper here , I've just measured my nipple and its 27.6mm long.
I've got stainless nipples in all of my calipers and I'm pretty sure that the threaded part is 1 or 2 mm longer and protrude a tiny bit more out of the caliper, but it doesn't affect them being a little bit longer.
I had my front wheel bearings replaced a couple of months ago.
Cheap from here . Apparently SNR make the wheel bearings for Renault.

I wondered what happened to STEVE.M.
Why was he kicked off ? I know he was a bit of an argumentative sod at times but he also had alot of useful knowledge.
