Ph2 Factory Xenons and the new law?

The police do a job which needs to be done. However the type of person the job often attracts is the gormless people who (wrongly) got bullied at school. A lot of coppers couldn't spot a criminal in a prison. So instead they go around professing about things they know nothing about because...

Such a well done 'chavbox'. I've always loved Saxo VTR/S's. Then they're done well they're brilliant.

It is in Wigan. The normal IQ is less than that found in single cell organisms on the sea bed iirc?

May be worth getting your mot done before January

Clio's do have auto levelling with the xenons. MOT time is a ball ache. I'll have to take my 3/4 plate off, put my sidelights back in, take the decat off etc. Unless I can find a "friendly" MOT station.

    Wow, that's clean. Looks great.

What can I do to my Clio to make it look better? (Noob)

RS Grille, plain number plates, Silver indicator bulbs, colour code the black plastics, lower it, some 15 or 16" alloys. A 172 rear bumper and cup spoiler would also really sharpen up the back end. Personally I'd do what I did with my 1.2, which was nothing. I just saved up for a 172 instead...

    182? 172?

For a project I'd get either a ph1 172 or a 172 cup. You have the 200 for an all rounder.

182 fog light conversion to led

Don't do it, it will look tacky. Get some xenon's (I see your in a Trophy), remove the sidelights and always leave them on. Looks so much better than LED running lights. I like the running lights on the new cars, they're designed to have them. On older cars they look terrible imo.

    1.2 to 1.6?

Dci, said it all along. The 80's are a really good car. I couldn't believe how well they pulled for what they are when I first went in one. Plus at 70mph it will do around 70mpg. have a look over on cliodci.net there's loads of info on buying, running and modding them.

    Audi A1 S-Line Pics

It won't be slow. I didn't realise they were nearly 1200kg's though, that's a lot for such a tiny car. The MPG should be brilliant on it, and it will pull well. Just a shame the power delivery is so irritating in the 2.0 TDI. It's just so peaky.

    1.2 Billabong dynamique

I should have done this when I went to Uni. I'd of gone for a dci though. Instead I tried to have no car, failed after 3 months and bought a MX5. Enjoy uni though mate, chances are though by 3rd year you'll be bored of the partying etc and want a nice car again. That's what I did, hence the 182.

    My Hairdressers mk2 mx5

Like it. I love MX5's. I had a MK1 for 15 months. Such a good car. They're a little underpowered but they're just so much fun. The handling is superb, so much feedback. On good matching tyres mine used to create a superb amount of grip too. Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Amazing car. Definitely the best 200 I've seen. Some serious investment made. Hats off to you mate.

    My DCI80

Really like it. I love Clio dci's. The MPG is just comical. I really like what you have done with it.

What have you done to your car today ???

    Nothing.

    1.2 to 1.6?

Not really. You just pay more on insurance. I pay about £1100 on a 182 at 21. Insurance has gone up a lot recently mind, I only paid £1300 on a ph1 172 at 19.

    197 ?

I'd only want a MK3 with Recaro's. They're such a great seat for me they make the car. I'd like an R27 if I was to move to a MK3.

    1.2 to 1.6?

Gear level movement on MK2 Clio's is comical. I've had three now and its always amused me. I think my 1.2 had the most movement and it was by far the newest and most low mileage.

    1.2 to 1.6?

To be honest maybe you would just be better keeping the 1.2. They're designed for short journeys and around town. If you rarely venture out of town and onto motorways etc then the 1.2 should be more than adequate. 1.2's aren't even to bad on motorways, acceleration isn't great but they'll...

    1.2 to 1.6?

From the passenger seat I didn't find the 100 much quicker. It just seemed more to have more appetite for revs (for a derv), probably down to the variable geometry turbo. I'd be happy with either, always the option to map both too.

    Scott's Clio 172 Cup

Love a cup with Xenons. Really nice example that mate. Shame about the spillter, over £100's worth too. Get a Fabia splitter, mines held on with that many self tappers the whole bumper would come off before it broke.

    1.2 to 1.6?

Depends on your definition of quick. Compared to the majority of cars on the road they are. Your average car on the road won't do a <7 second 0-60 and 140 mph top speed. However I do agree with you, for straight line speeds best to look away from Clio's. I still stand by my dci suggestion though.

Finally got a Clio. I've been missing out!

I'm sure I only paid about £15 for one a couple of years ago. Ironically I never fitted it and its in the garage in its original packaging. That's going straight on eBay soon.

197 Cup with Recaros. Nimbus in 2012. Glacier White in 2022

If it sells you may as well get a heroic barge for Le Mans now, run it for three months then sell it after. I didn't see you getting on with the 197 as a daily.
