197 Cup with Recaros. Nimbus in 2012. Glacier White in 2022

I see where your coming from with the armrest Dave. I had one in my MX5 and it does make lazy driving more comfortable, the 182 is more comfortable overall but I always feel like I'm missing somewhere to put my left arm.

    200 Projector lights fitted.

Great mod. I wouldn't like to be without my xenons. This upgrade literally makes the front end look twice as good. Its a shame Renault went pikey and dropped standard fit xenons on the RS Clio. Then to not even make them an option on the 200 is even worse.

Why carry a jack and tools?

How are you supposed to control that really. Punctures happen. You can try to avoid them, who wouldn't, but eventually at some point you will get a puncture.

Fuel Gauge or Range Computer What do you trust?

I think they're both reasonably accurate. I've ran Clio's for three years cumulatively and I've never run out of petrol yet.

Why carry a jack and tools?

To be honest if I get a puncture in my 182 I'll just phone the AA. Buying a car with no spare wheel is a bit of an error really.

197 Cup with Recaros. Nimbus in 2012. Glacier White in 2022

Looks really nice. Love the seats, they really are epic. Its a perfectly good commuting car but after having nice comfy BMW's its a bit of a step down in that respect. Do you not think you'll end up comparing the day to day comfort and end up in another E46 within a few months?

    Dci sport or 182?

If you can afford a 182 then get a 182, if not then get the dci. The 182 can do everything the dci can do, and much more. It will just cost more.

    Whisling on Acceleration (5k+ revs)

Its nothing to do with the intake. Mines an exhaust blow of some type. It makes the car sound really rough at low revs too.

    Happy April Fool's day 2012!

Re: RENAULT ANNOUNCES THE CLIO RENAULTSPORT 200 CLIOSPORT.NET EDITION Any special finance options? If its anything like the club's insurance schemes it will be £299 per month and a £23,000 balloon payment after 5 years.

    Lightened flywheel *video*

That's mental. Looks like its revving like an LFA.

    The clio is going ...

Always had a soft spot for these. If I had to change to a diesel I think I'd definitely be after one. Great upgrade from a 1.2, enjoy it mate.

    Whisling on Acceleration (5k+ revs)

Mine does this but from about 2500rpm. It sounds like turbo whistle. It's an exhaust blow. I need to get it sorted, its driving me mad.

    Clio 182 Exhaust sound

The step in the thottle pedal is the override switch for the speed limiter. Full throttle is achieved before this click. The whistle will probably be a very slight exhaust blow. Mine does it really badly, I need to get that sorted.

    :( oh dear

330 lbft is a lot of torque. Not surprised the gearboxes are going on them. Nice looking cars but the Clio 197 will be miles better. Probably slower straight line mind.

    My New Toy...

What an absolute hero you are. I love it, everything about it.

Your favourite clio wheel from the factory 'Sports only'

For me it all depends on the model and colour of the car. I loved the silver F1's on my Silver PH1, when it was clean it looked amazing, the wheels complimented it perfectly. I love the 182 cup wheels on my BG 182 equally though, had my 182 been RB or Liquid Yellow though I'd have changed...

Why did you choose a RenaultSport Clio?

I didn't really know anything about Renaultsport Clio's until I was 17 and joined this site. I've always loved hot hatches but knew more about Fiesta ST's (warm hatch I later came to find), Focus ST, CTR etc. I decided a Clio would be a good first car so got a 1.2 16V joined this site and some...

    Tunnel Fun

It actually reminds me of mad Friday at Le Mans. Except there they get barrels of water and wet the road for burnouts. Enthusiasts.

few pics of my 500hp mk1 focus rs

Cheaper to insure (standard v standard) than a 1*2 apparently. Love the car mate, must be silly quick once rolling. I'd love it.

Very tidy mate. Rare bus too.

Much better, still a shame its a Ktec stealth though. Hateful things. Lovely cup mind. Credit to you.

Clio Cup 200 Nürburgring Nordschleife 2012

Excellent driving. The 200 in a seriously capable machine.

    Tunnel Fun

I want a Punto GT like the one at the start of the vid, except in broom yellow. I've wanted one since my Mum and Dad bought a Punto 60S in 1997, they had one in the dealer in broom yellow and I was obsessed with it. Kept telling my Dad it did 0-60 in 7.9 seconds and he needs to buy one.

My Trophy, the 182 on 182,182 miles ...

It did 72,000 miles in 14 months!!!! Wow. Its really strange that somebody got a Clio Trophy to do that sort of mileage in. Looks in great nick though, surely its the highest mileage 182 on here. Maybe even the highest mileage Clio on here.

    Some Alien Green love...

I want your car too much.

    Epic Elise (680WHP)

Supercharged and turbo'd. Awesome. Seems too fast for the road though, he's probably only getting up to about 4000rpm then having to lift off.

15Months Away! Its time to come back to the 182 :)

I don't know what it is about RS Clio's that make you keep coming back to them. I'm sure you'll love having your Clio back on the road and it will save you a fortune, must be miles cheaper to run than the Teg and VXR.
