I love the F30's. Such an impressive motor to get 242bhp and 44mpg. Amazing considering its the same C02 as a 1.2 16V Clio yet has so much performance.
Everybody would love to see the straight 6 N/A engines stay but on the same note everybody wishes that petrol was still 70p a litre. If petrol...
I don't see how you can get quieter than standard. They are literally silent. All you hear is engine noise and that's due to the fact there isn't a great deal of sound deadening in Clio's.
Tooney, long time no see.
My 182 is having running problems too, it keeps cutting out when warm on idle. If I find out what it is I'll pass it on, see if its any help.
Mine isn't throwing fault codes out though.
They're for a non sport though mate. The rev counter only goes up to 7000 rather than 8000.
Personally I'm not so much of a fan. The best look is the standard dials with white led backlights. Ball ache of a job apparently though.
Could anybody do me a massive favour and bring an rs tuner to see if there's any fault codes on my car. It keeps cutting out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. There'll be a burger in it for anybody who can help.
Silver was a very popular colour back then. I've had two silver Clio's. The only colour I refused to have for the 182 was silver, wasn't having a third silver car.
I find the inconsistent speeds people drive at increasingly annoying since I got a car with cruise control. Its not worth using it if the motorways busy. When its quiet though its great, just stick it on cruise and relax.
I'm sure you'll get it all sorted and it will be epic when its finished. Just got to stick with it, most cars are moneypits but its all part of the fun.
My 182 seems to be sluggish for about the first 15-20 mins of driving. The other day it cut out twice on idle. I've also noticed the temperature fluctuates from just about half way, to just over, then back under etc a fair bit which none of my other cars have done.
It also seems a little heavy...
It's a funny one with exhausts. Some boom and others don't.
If you just want a bit of extra noise maybe just get an open cone filter. Get one for about £60 and put the £200+ you've saved by not getting an exhaust towards that sport you want :)
