It's got a lot of silicone in it, just like Back To Black, so it would make sense that you would get similar results, although the Meguiars is a gel so might last longer than traditional spray on stuff.
Nothing too thrilling for my Clio today - just fitted some new Michelin Stealth wiper blades from Costco and ordered some Xsara fan washer jets. I'm planning on removing my alloys tomorrow, giving them a good clean and waxing, and rotating them front to rear. The rear tyres are a pair of Exaltos...
I've just done the same thing with my Clio. I paid £105 to put my plate on retention. Just send the retention certificate off to the DVLA, along with your V5C and MOT certificate, and in a couple of weeks you get a new V5C back with the new plate. Just check that your retention certificate has...
I fitted mine yesterday and it works great! Only problem is it keeps charging the iPod after the ignition is turned off. Not a problem if you use the car everyday but I only use mine once a week so I have to remember to disconnect it when I park up.
Fitted my Connects2 iPod adapter to the Clio this evening. Now I have my whole music collection through the OEM headunit.
The only downside is it continues charging the iPod with the ignition off, and where I don't use my car much, I have to remember to unplug the iPod when I leave the car...
Today I have insured and taxed my 182. Brought it home from storage. Fitted silvatec indicator bulbs all round along with a whole new number lamp and led bulb. Oh, and paid for my CS membership!
Hi. I'm returning to the forum after a seven year absence! I used to have an 04 plate 182 in racing blue, which I part-ex'd in 2008. I've regretted it ever since. The opportunity came up to get rid of my diesel Ford Focus as I started cycling to work after being moved to a different job...
Spotted yesterday around 14:35 driving past the police station.
It was 3 or 4 up and had a new style Cliosport sticker in the rear window.
I was behind you in my Octavia :)
There was a piccy on the dealer's website, but they've taken it down now - I assume because it's been sold, but it's the facelifted version in metallic blue, with the 18" alloys.
The time has finally come to move on. The Clio will be part-ex'd next week when it returns from the body shop (for an unrelated prang)
Taking it's place in the Karlos household will be an '06 plate Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 turbo :D
I'll be sad to see the Clio go - it really is a...
Update:
I popped out and bought some AG Glass Polish, as advised. I gave the screen a good seeing to with the polish, so I just had to wait for the inevitable rainfall to see if it had made a difference.
After polishing, I did notice just how badly scratched and stone-chipped the screen was...
Cheers for the tips peeps. I've tried vinegar on the blades and I clean them everytime I wash the car, but as I've said above, I don't think it's the blades that are the problem. They're the Bosch Aerotwin flat blades and they've only been on 12-18 months or so (they're supposed to last longer...
Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I have a similar issue with my windscreen.
It's the original Renault item and its done over 67000 miles. The wiper blades have left a mark on the windscreen in the swept area. However, that's not my main concern.
In the swept area, towards the top half...
Yeah mine does this too, but only in wet or slippery conditions. It does feel like one of the tyres is skidding across the tarmac. It's a bit bizarre but nothing to worry about.
Good questions raised in here that I was wondering myself. I've been down the local stealers and sat in a 197 in white with the black non-multispoke wheels. I have to say, although it didn't have Recaros, I was impressed. The driving position is the first thing you notice, and I never had an...
