I think so. I had some cheaper ones and they were rubbish in comparison to the Bosch ones.

IIRC Renault have changed the clamp they used for the mid-section to cat join. It used to be a circular one with one bolt. It's now in 2 halves with two bolts, which is a better, more secure design.

I'd imagine if you take it easy, and providing you didn't lose too much oil, you should be ok.

I have this problem too. It only seems to happen when I put the car in the garage at night and lock it. I think I'll try waiting a few seconds longer before locking it and see if that helps.

Try a patio/driveway cleaner from somewhere like B&Q. Remember to refill you gearbox with oil, as you've obviously lost some when your driveshaft fell out.

TBH I think you could only get away with them on a rally prepped Subaru or Evo.

You have to put the key in the ignition, turn the ignition on and off 4 times, iirc. It should beep to tell you the interior sensors are off.

Don't try and start it without a new cam belt in! Like others have said, did you do a compression test?
