Well I've seen some Pioneer direct replacement front speakers designed especially for renaults, which have the mid for the door, and the tweeter for the dash. I wonder if somebody could write a little "how-to" guide on how to remove the top of the dash, then I could get these and fit them! :D

iirc you'll need to remove the dash. A pain I know - I want to replace my tweeters too, but I'm far to lazy to start taking my 182 apart!

I fitted mine on Sunday. Can't say I've noticed that much difference TBH. Maybe slightly improved throttle response, but it's hard to say.

Does anyone else get that annoying whistling sound? Usually above 60mph or so?

If you get the extra GPS antenna, phone them and ask for the longer one, which is 5m, otherwise you'll get the 2m one, which is no good. They're the same price.

The first thing I bought for my 182 was Renault roof bars so I could go biking. The best thing about having your bike on the roof is that everyone assumes you're going to be going really slowly, so the look on their faces when you you blast past them is brilliant! :cool:

I love the way my Xenons illuminate the white road markings and make them sparkle. You never get that with Halogens. Like someone said earlier - loving the way they "ping" on with that little flicker!

Right. I've just given it another go, but pulling the bulb holder doesn't seem to be working, and I really don't want to break anything!

Doesn't water leak into the cabin at the back, near the back seat cushions on certain clios? If so, it could have soaked the car inside and given it that musty smell.

Right. I'm trying to fit my white LED sidelight bulbs in my 182, but I'm having a fair old struggle trying to get my hands in to twist the bulb holder, in order to remove it and replace the bulb. Anyone got any fitting tips?

I agree with the majority of people about this. However, I do use my foglights from time to time. I do a lot of motorway driving, and when the spray is really kicking up and it's getting hard to see other road users, I turn them on (front and rear). It's surely better and safer to be seen in...

On the driveway, or in the road if my brother beats me home! I would use the garage, but it's reserved for my Mum's Honda S2000 :dapprove:

Just ordered 2 sets of Silvatecs, and a set of white LED sidelight bulbs - inc p+p it was less than £15 :eek: Bargain methinks! Thanks once again to everyone for all their opinions and advice. :D

Oooh they look nice! They go very nicely with the paintwork, and as I have a Racing Blue 182, they might be worth a go.

1) Which is best - Silvervisions or Silvatec? 2) What bulb type(s) do I need? I'd like a set for the fronts and rears. Are they the same type? Oh yeah, it's for a 182. Cheers :D

One thing worth mentioning about those - IIRC if you put a trophy spoiler on a 182, it'll foul the aerial on the roof. The Trophies have a reduced boot opening range to stop that happening.

^^^^PMSL!! I hit a pheasant at about 65mph. It ripped the splitter off the bumper, which I recovered and managed to re-fit. It also cracked the air deflector that directs air into the radiator. That got totally smashed up, but was only £11 from Renault, so not too bad in the end.

I broke the locking wheel nut key on mine, as some tyre monkey did my nuts up too tight! :mad: Anyway, went to Renault with key code, and they ordered me a new one. It was in the region of £20, and it took ages to arrive as it had to come from Italy! Hope this helps! :cool:

Righty ho - here goes: Blue V6 on the A46 today. Silver 182 with Cliosport stickers queing for The Shires shopping centre car park on Saturday. Silver 172 with MOMO alloys outside TX Maxx in Syston on Friday Numerous others I've forgotton :banghead:

Yeah these aren't your run-of-the-mill white-ish looking H4 bulbs. These are high intensity gas discharge bulbs.
