The Evol Engineering one is really good. It was very solid at first but has got better. My still clunks a bit so the other mounts are probably knackered
Just dug out the graph. I got 161.0 bhp and 145.5 lb/ft
My car has a few mods but nothing major. Was exoecting a bit better than that though as it supposedly has had a remap and had a sports cat on it. On the plus side it accelerates well and does well on the track
Then I got stuck! The instructions did not mention the aux tensioner bolts being some weird female star rubbish. I managed to get one bolt out with a 10mm spanner but the other had already been knackered by a previous monkey!
I had to give up at this point as I went on holiday so I came back to...
Another update :)
Had some time recently to remove the air con system with a second hand pms delete kit I got on here.
Stripping the car down was easy, but it made me realise what an absolute heap this car is. Clips just snapped, bolts and screws were rusted to buggery etc.
Anyway I got most...
Ah nothing wrong with it. I took it apart to remove the aircon. Then I got stuck with a dodgy bolt and had to leave it while I went on holiday. Came back and manged to get the bolt out so put it all back together on Saturday :)
15kg saved and I haven't done the other rad yet
Shame I didn't make this one in the end. My parents had got us tickets to his works 60th anniversary thing.
Can't make the Southend one either :(
On the plus side, I've got the clio back up and running again :)
It's looking increasingly likely that I will not make this now. Took half my car apart to lose the aircon and don't think it's gonna go back together again in time as I'm going on holiday on Friday. Knew there would be a problem on what should be a simple job
Yeah it is pretty huge! Luckily I managed to squeeze it through the bulkhead where the bonnet release cable goes.
Best bet it just to copy someone who's done what you want to do. Are you using a lightweight battery? I kept the standard one as I don't use the car much, didn't want to have a flat...
My brother did mine, but only cos I asked him to. It's a bit of a muck around job getting it in the right position. Be careful when removing the original seat mountings as I ruined my floor doing it!
Can't answer the question but I moved my battery there and used 50mm2 cable and it's way over the top! I'd go for 30mm2 if I were you. I put a 300 amp fuse Near the battery. I think it was 300 anyway. I copied someone on here. The battery has been just as before and I've not noticed any...
Ah thats exactly what I need! Hopefully my brother will come up with something. Don't really want to buy a tool for a bolt I'll never come across again!
Ahhhh the instructions never said take the headlight out!! Slam panel is already out so not sure how I would remove the metal bit in the way. I'll have a look when I try again
Doing the aircon delete on my car and I'm stuck! I've taken the alternator and compressor off and am just removing the alternator bracket. There are two funny star bolts holing the tensioner in place. The bottom one came out with a 10mm spanner but it's the top one that I need out. The same...
