Thanks Fred, anything you don't know ;)
Surely the wheel needs to come off to undo the driveshaft nut though :s
Do I need to drain the oil first being passenger side? And will gaitors come ready ont he new drivehsaft or do I need to buy both new? Heard there a b*****d to put on...
Need to replace passenger side driveshaft as CV joing is fucked.
Can comeone give a quick guide of how to do it including what needs to be taken off to get at it etc...
Also will the new driveshaft come with gaiters?
Cheers
I managed to squeeze my arm down there you should be ok, just fiddly!
Not want to sell part just yet as fixing up new intake setup next weeknd and may need it
I have this just the other side, all I've got so far is top mounts so I've got some washers to try but after that I'm gonna get new top mounts, just annoying having to get camber done again :(
I thought most would of screwed it on!
I've got some of the duel lock stuff on my van, awesome stuff!
The cards were from performance trim, just the fronts £112 delivered!
My cards are about 3mm thick
Cheers!
Whats the best way for doing this?
I could use original screw holes at the bottom I'm guessing but the top won't be held on very well!
WHat has everyone else done?
Cheers
Be careful telling them it doesn't work after they've installed box as most engineers aren't allowed to work over 16ft or something stupid so they will then need to get the special height engineers out with all the climbing gear fit for climbing everest.
Yea I did but they were all terrbile, couldn't even see anything in good enough light to focus on yet they were hugely orange! I'm on the laptop at the minute but I'll try post some up I did take a little later
Sounds like play in the steering column or fucked track ends
This happened on my Valver and I would recommend you getting it done ASAP as I ended up in a ditch when they finally broke and suspension collapsed
did it do it on a main road and is it lowered at all?
My car seems to pull a little on main roads when it gets stuck in the lower bits that lorries make if you get me
You will need some kind of bonnet vent though I would imagine as the huge scoop was designed because the engine would over heat!
Valvers didn't have the wide track only the williams did IIRC
Mk1 engines in will be easy, 172 will be nice to do but a lot more work involved!
Mines been doing this and all garages are bemused and don't know what it is. I may have to change my upper engine mount to see if this solves the problem.
I get it when turning right and letting of at 30+
