I'm with Budgie. Having said that though, I also believe that a standard Clio is plenty fast enough for road use. So any mods at all are realistically unnecessary. However the mods I have bridge the gap between a road and a track car. Bridgey no pad is available to suit you mate lol.
Hang on a minute????
Apart from me on most sessions lol
Doubt the silver was charged, I think the reality is that the Focus "wasn't being driven to it's potential" thus makng us look good.;)
Might have been a yellow flagged period, thinking about it because they let me pass. Don't want to take anything away from the lads in the silver one because they were doing well.
Black one was mine, sorry to say but if that's the case with the Focus, he simply wasn't letting him through. The Focus had over 400bhp so something wasn't right there, unless you saw the first session's ducks and drakes laps lol. The silver one was going very well but we are no way quick enough...
Great BOSS championship on as well! Some cracking Fords in that, ex touring car RS500 Cossie and a beautiful sounding Mk2 Escort last year and a mate in a Mk5 RS2000
I normally do a non torque wrench check after a couple of sessions. Purely to make sure none are loose, so a gentle test with the bar. Then a torque check before starting again, after lunch break.
There's a nice little country pub about 2 minutes away. Pretty small though, I'll find the name of it later for you.
Edit: The Malt Shovel, was about 3 years ago that I went but was very nice.
Definition of ditchfinder...........
I ran out of talent and have to blame something, it had nothing to do with the fact that I misjudged the bend/overestimated my car's potential.
Even for track use?
Less in front than back = oversteer and vice versa for understeer.
Personal preference to an extent as it depends how your car is setup, the track you're on and how you like it setup. Generally considered safer for novices to have a bit of understeer as it's a bit more...
Haven't heard that Phil about test days not even counting. If they are though, surely reduce test days to increase noisy days is an option then. I thought Feb/March/April is normally busiest for tests, after winter rebuilds etc. Maybe reducing test days to once a fortnight at this time of year...
That comment was a bit unfair to Llandow too, theirs are in better condition. When you look at the buildings at Mallory, they really are behind the times. I love the character of the place but from a corporate hospitality point of view, it's on a different planet compared to MSV and Silverstone...
