My point was there are people who will judge this guy then do exactly the same themselfs but not post it. He has hardly commited crime of the century, he's speeding on an empty road, 90% of people on this site would do that.
Isnt the internet a great place for people to hypocritically take the moral high ground.
Awesome car mate, realy makes me want a forced induction Clio. Anybody lend cough* give me cough* £4K?
They use diesels out of trucks in some of those pickups. I saw a couple in Florida that said Cummings Turbo Diesel who make truck engines, my Grandads concrete mixer has one in it.
There is less traction available because that is where mud, leaves etc.
I find you getting so much wheel spin strange though. I manage not to get wheel spin in my 172 which has no TC, is on 15's, has a fair bit more power and torque than the GT and weighs less. Occasionally it will spin if...
Looks like a decent reduction from 19 to 20. Mines £1300 tpft at 19 with 2ncb so i'm hoping for sub £1K next year. I'm going to try a limited mileage policy of around 4000 too because i'm moving away to uni so won't be taking the car. If insurance is too much it won't be worth keeping the car.
Re: One Year on & £**** spent
When are the ITB's going on then?
Fair play to you for doing all this whilst your at Uni. I'm even thinking of selling my 172 when I go to Uni because of the running costs etc. I won't end up doing though. I won't be able to let go.
Flux charged me £12. Its definately worth it though. I haven't lost my keys, and don't take them on a night out which can be a prime time to lose your keys but its still nice to know your fully covered.
I know on the 172's that the cat length is different, so the cat back system is a different length.
Makes it very hard to find a second hand decat :dapprove:
I'd have gone for a yozzasport if their stealth system sounded like their race system.
There are a lack of stealth options, I was disapointed that the yozza stealth is standard sound.
5mm spacers. Interesting. Which ones would you recommend?
I think my next plan of attack will be sportlines and 5mm spacers. I have been put of spacer by the treads of them causing wheels to come off but 5mm isnt much.
I do agree I was going to post a thread about spacers. I have heard some negatives about them, some even causing wheels to come off. I may look into some good ones though.
Your car looks realy good Aluco.
The ph1's look good with varying amounts of ph2 parts. Thats what I like about them, its easy to be individual.
Splitter and sportlines next for mine. Pics from the NW meet on Saturday highlighted the need for this. Also want either new or PC'd dual optics...
I think I will change the speakers and leave it at that. I like the standard HU as it doesn't attract thiefs and I like the CD changer.
The standard HU is pretty good to be fair. Far better than the one in my 1.2 and that was 5 years younger.
What size are the rear speakers?
I was going to start a new thread but this is a similar topic.
If I got some uprated speakers, like the alpine ones above. Would I notice a decent increase in audio quality. I know the ph1 172 has a 60W HU in it, but is it a weak point or will I get decent sound with uprated speakers.
I was going to get PH2 side strips for mine then decided against it. I love the black, it makes the car look more aggressive and old skool which is what I love about the car.
The only PH2 part on my car is the lights which I think suit it and don't soften it.
I've got no more PH2 plans for...
I'm going to be buying a decat off Dazdon if it will fit my car. It comes off his 172 cup so its from a ph2. It has a blanking sensor in so that's fine. My car has the single sensor twin cat on. So basically will the ph2 decat fit my ph1 providing the lamba sensor whole is bunged.
Thanks...
