Just had a quote at a place down the road. £320-330 so thats not too bad. Free courtesy car as well. Hopefully the guy will be happy with that and just pay me. Otherwise its the insurance.
Not that bad to be honest. Couldn't see it very well in the dark.
Here are a couple of pics:
The guy was going to drive off and would have got away with it had my mates not turned up and saw him do it. They blocked him from leaving and told him to leave his details!
Now what do you...
Hi Jaws, yes it is much lower! Firstly I have taken out the original seat mounty things on the drivers side only I think. And secondly I got my brother to cut and re-weld the subframe so it now goes as low as it ever could. I'm 6'5 and its so much better to drive now.
I don't understand the obsession with splitters on here? Whenever I put pics up theres always splitter comments lol. I just dont see the point. I don't even notice them on other cars
Well I have Turinis, Silvervisions, painted bullets and sportlines but I'm well happy with the result.
Gave her a quick wash this morning and a 10 minute photo shoot up the road.
Couple of things left to do which include a civic aerial and smoked repeaters. Think my exhaust is about to go...
Richy, the seats came with the cobra subframes. I bought them second hand from here. They tilt and slide just like the standard seats.
Putting resistors in the wiring was easy too.
You will be a few cm lower then standard especially if you remove the spacer things that the standard seat uses...
I am 6'5" and the standard seats really were too high for me. I would have had to sell the car so I bought Cobra Misanos and they modified the drivers subframe so it sits a lot lower. Now I am really comfortable and can fit in with my helmet on for track days.
Well here is my car. Not been washed for weeks but I don't do a lot of mileage. I've been dying to get it clean again for ages..........
Bullets are being painted......
Think You've got the wrong end of the stick. The front and rear aren't equal to start with, thats why they are both lowered different amounts.
Trust Eibach, they got it right.
Your insurance company are con artists. If its a non fault claim then they shouldn't take the excess from you. I've had two cars written off with non fault accidents and I never had to pay any excess.
I'd advise switching to Direct line when you have the chance.
PS: Made my first journey in a week today and the clock ticked onto 26K.
I've now done 3400 in the 8 months I've had her. Can't believe how little mileage I do these days

Ok so these seem quite popular to put on your 1*2 and I've gotta admit its...
I'm not sure you're right there. Low mileage cars will always command a premium simply because most people would prefer to buy a car with lower mileage on. I know you don't always get a better car but if you look at the market the low mileage ones do seem to be more expensive.
Not that it...
I might as well just paint them myself then. Where can I get pearl black paint from?. Direct from renault? or do I need to get it mixed up by a paint firm?
