I can't compare to an ST as I haven't owned one, but the RS is thirsty as heck if your out for a spirited drive, if driving calmly and plodding to/from work then it's not so scarry atall, and that's even with the 400bhp kit and 750cc injectors.
I haven't read through all of the posts, but only viewed the initial pictures.
i like it, but then i have one myself aswell.
awesome cars and most definitely in the best colour.
what Revo stage is it running, as I'm on the Revo software aswell.
pops and bangs and flames are an everyday treat...
Going by the sellers advert when I bought the car, they were rebuilt/overhauled 3 years ago.
and they feel perfect to me :)
ill look into the option of swapping them back over and selling them on then.
cheers guys :)
Having just bought the trophy and the suspension changed the same day for the AST's, I then thought it logical to fit the trophy suspension to our other 182 cup.
but now I'm wondering if I should have just put the standard suspension back on to the 182, as its possible that we will be...
Gaz, hadn't thought about donnington as yet, but it could be a possibility.
hope the business works out long term for you.... PS: Sticky said to call you Gay Gaz ;)
I already had a set of AST 1's, so I've used those for now as they seemed to do the job quite well on the black car at the ring earlier in the year.
ive contemplate changing for the AST 2's, but seems a bit daft now I have these, maybe in time :)
Sir Dave, your protection process is second none ;)
A better pic of the Saph with a sneaky peek at the undercover car
Gaz, long time no speak, hope your keeping well mate.
whats in your collection at present?
Bobby, it would be nice if its in my ownership on that day.
The mats are what Tom supplies, he works for a company that makes/designs/sells them, we re hoping to have a few more coming in a few varying Colours in the new year.
Yes, a little bit cryptic I know, but it will make sense in time ;)
The pups (although now 3 yrs old) are pretty good going...
To be honest, other than a couple of small marks on the paint, it's genuinely not in a bad state atall for the mileage.
Tom had his paint depth gauge on the car today, and then on the black one just to compare, and the Trophy came out better.
i can't recall the readings, but i will confirm...
Spent a few hours today refitting all of the trim and standard ish suspension back on to the black car, that's now back at home and ready for the new week as a comfy daily car again.
then moved on to the Trophy.
shes now kitted out with the AST's, Pure Motorsport top mounts, Whiteline ARB and...
thats handy that you have the job offers, especially if all doesn't pan out to your liking.
China must have some highs aswell tho, another chapter and experience to your working life isn't always a bad thing.
That she is indeed, absolutely stunning car :)
cheers Dave, although I can't take...
Neil, I forgot you had the slight change in job locations, how are you finding it out there?
you don't want another clio surely, have you still got the blue one in the garage aswell?
Dan, I guess that's a fair enough reason mate, luckily for me even with its mods, the insurance still comes out...
The other clio 182 we own.
For a year now I've been trying to make this my little car for a bit if track fun, but always trying to maintain a small level of road use as it was initially the misses road car.
Now, instead of trying to cover two requirements from one car, the trophy will allow us...
2 weekends back I dropped in to see Nick172Cup to have a look at the Trophy he had for sale.
a deal was made and the car was to become mine a couple of weeks later.
Late this morning a ventured back over to Nicks to finally collect the car and get it back over to my unit to start a few...
i think you have a big enough clio collection at present anyhow.
we still have all of the standard bits from kims sat in the loft/unit, so easy enough to put back to standard and use as a daily again as we know the car is in good shape, all bar a few scuffs etc.
i can then plod through the...
I'm happy with it the way it is Chip, I was more curious how much travel it would be loosing.
but, in all honesty I can't see it being a problem with the AST's.
ive just bought a Trophy aswell to now swap everything over in to, and to take a little more time in getting it all neat/tidy/perfect...
Neil, i appreciate your PM, i can see you are doing all you can to help everyone and i applaud you for that.
thank you for your kind message and i wish you well :D
Neil, im unsure if it was yourself or a colleague of yours i made contact with a couple of years back over on PF about this when i made this similar comment.
i PM'd all details as requested and never even had a response back from it, which made me feel even more cheesed off with it.
the issue...
i would class our 182 as just mildly specced for trackdays, which would already blow your 5k budget out of the water.
we could easily run away with things but you have to draw a line somewhere (ive learnt the hard way by blowing 50k in a track toy project)
ours purely runs:
AST's,
Pure...
Does sound a tad pricey, id shop around a bit and see what other prices you can come up with.
i used Greenlight many years ago, left a nasty taste in my mouth and i refuse to go anywhere near them again, customer service and support was beyond shocking!
give Keith Micheals a shout, looked after...
