Completely changed since Dan owned it.
now belongs to Lee, aka Porkie.
running silly suspension and throttle boddies, awesomely specced car now and goes extremely well in Lee's hands.
everything the car has a need for it goes to mark Fish.
ive just had the roof done gloss black on the focus, while there i asked about the whole car and they quoted me £1000 for the car (as id already had the roof done) plus an extra £200 for the door shuts.
this was @ Yiannimize refined in north london.
37 with the 182, but to be fair its more the misses car than anything else.
bought another 172 cup last summer for little track fun, and the misses has recently said im heading for a midlife crisis as just before christmas i bought a Ultimate Green Focus RS aswell :D
no harm in having to many...
Each to there own Ben, I personally didn't have enough confidence in the standard setup which is why I went for the 4 pots.
IMO, everyone has a different way of driving and needs, if it suits and makes you as the individual feel more comfortable and confident then nobody has the right to say...
Do you want me to put in a call in the morning and see if i can do anything on the Hi Spec price for you?
Atleast then you can consider the prices ;)
(to add, they are only in Dartford ;) )
Mark, Jamsport get the calipers in from Rally Design, so if you were in no rush you could put the order in requesting the red calipers if you were prepared to wait a couple of days longer.
Gives the Jamsport guys chance to have them sent over for you.
Mark, I've had endless bad experiences with Geoff at Hi Spec, going back almost 15 years to te days he operated out of a double garage at the bottom of his garden.
He does have in principal some nice products, as he does have some great knowledge, but there are far to many niggles, miss fitting...
Can everyone please keep their eye out for this, it was taken from a unit in Leek, Cheshire (just outside Macclesfield) at some time between 8pm and 10am this morning. Due to the complicated start-up process, it is likely to have been taken on a trailer / low-loader.
Obviously it has many...
When we have done them on the Escort the original roof has been spotwelded in place.
160 spotwelds to be exact
Which appears to be exactly the same on the Clio's.
It was only really advised for those running with a cage, and cages that were braced to the pillars before hand, it gives the...
It won't be wrapped, this will be a full on carbon replacement.
Talks are in motion, he's happy to look at it more in-depth, going to be going over dimensions and options over the coming few days.
Possibly have a honeycomb filling within the inner and outer skins.
For me, this excercise...
Just a random one really.
I'm going in to see my carbon man in a couple of hours, a guy that has made many carbon roofs and panels for many Ford RS cars over the years, including mine.
I'm going to speak to him about making one for the Clio, but I was just curious if anyone else would be...
As above.
I don't think you will notice a great deal of difference between the 2 sizes in terms of mileage returned from them.
If your worried about costs and being more pocket friendly then go for the 195's, it was only the cup packed cars that had the 205's over the 195's.
K12 COS is on my Escort Cosworth.
K12 FRS is on the Focus RS
K400 WRC is on the Jeep tow vehicle.
K16 BUB is on the misses Clio 182 I always call her Bub so that's self explanatory.
I wanted it to be K12 BUB, it was available when I first looked but 2 months later when I went to buy it had sold...
I don't think you can gain info of who owns the rights to a plate if it's not the DVLA.
I certainly wouldn't want a random person making contact with me to buy one of my plates off me, I'd want to know how they had found the plate and then found my address and contact details, and also be...
Mines all gone now, drove it back into the garage afterwards aswell.
I guess being an electrical engineer on the railway made me do it logically and just work one wire back at a time and take my time, nothing to it really.
Nevermind, all out and gone now.
Best part of another kg shed :D
Also pulled out all of the sound deadening from behind the dash aswell while I was at it, plus a few otter little bits not needed within the dash, another 3.5kg gone aswell.
I'll progress with the diet in the morning :D
As I've now removed all of the airbags from my 'in progress' track car build, and the fact that re standard seats with pre-tensioners have also been binned.
Has anyone else considered, or actually removed the wiring and associated control unit for these items?
Just curious how far back the...
