Are the abs sensors fitted correctly? If the gap between the sensor and pole wheel is too big, the sensor won't read the speed correctly and throw on the ABS light.
It's good until you lose air for some reason ( compressor packing up, air pipe getting holed or air bags leaking, all of which happen fairly regularly on trucks) which ends up dragging your trailer deck along the surface of the road.

It wil, fail MOT. It has to do a certain sequence when the ignition is switched on otherwise it fails on MOT. So the light needs to be there and functioning correctly.
The main question is, is there any noticeable faults with the vehicle? By that I mean is there any symptoms of a fault that can be noticed without a cheap code reader? If the answer is no, then the faults are more than likely inactive and you'll be on a wild goose chase trying to trace a fault...
