Somehow ended up here last weekend. Quiet wet Sunday, wasn't doing anything and had been talking to the seller on eBay. Decided to go and view it.
Alas, here we are.
2008 WRX STi
57,000 miles.
Fully rebuilt 12,000 miles ago with every nut and bolt, fully forged.
Brand new turbo (standard...
EFA. I wouldn't have a 63, either. I don't want a Merc again. They make me feel dead inside.
Although the cabin fully spec'd in the A45 is really, really nice, the visibility is absolutely f**king s**t, too. It's just not a well rounded car at all.
I'd have a Evo FQ360, when the time comes.
Not really. These don't break down, doesn't mean they're not kek. If you enjoy driving a really fast boring bubble that has absolutely no soul and a terrible transmission, then go for it.
Clunking into reverse occasionally, fairly common recall. Still not fixed entirely in that model. The box is hesitant sometimes, even after clearing the learning algorithms. Boring as hell to drive. You need to be absolutely flat out to get any kind of entertainment out of it. Although with ESP...
I would never buy one of these ever again. Namely the box, it's awful. New ones are meant to be devastatingly fast, though. But as the face lift A45 taught me, that doesn't mean much sometimes.
Probably going to take the car back for resale. Just not enjoying, thought with trouble in paradise it would help perk me up a bit but the cars just not engaging enough for that.
Yeah that's my thinking also. Remax mk2 can be applied neat and wet but you just contaminate the drying towel, it's definitely better as a wipe on wipe off application which is effort for a top up.
No idea. Was tempted to post a thread on it here but CBA, I think there's more to it than meets the eye. He claims for instance that he has quids worth of diagnostics gear, who's to say he didn't f**k something with it. They've been around donkeys years (QST)
This is a loaded question, but does anyone know if it would be OK to use Megs Hybrid Ceramic Wax as a top up over Britemax Igneous?
I'm not a huge fan of Remax as it's wipe off.
Yeah, I have mates and even work next to Britemax who could have gone over it for me, but I'm not one for "mates rates" as hate bad blood between friends. s**t happens, after all.
Live and learn, could be worse - just read Paul Dalton from Miracle Details story with tuning his RS3 lol...
Just took it out. Feels smoother if anything! If you mess it up, I guess you can simply reset again...I can get why they've gone with it, but it's not that helpful lol.
God it's fast...uncomfortably fast.
Took the car down to Hastings for a couple nights. It’s an amazing point to point car, effortless to drive.
When it was just the two of us (me and chum) we discovered that with the entire three stage ESP off, it’s quite easy to engage in some oversteer when pressing on. In fact, the cars...
