I mean, I hope not.

Thinking of picking up a set of the Prodrives. Really not a fan of the 330S wheels.
Yeah, but this is me. I'll end up getting the whole car done lol. I'll try my utmost to keep it localised :D. Thankfully, besides a small inch scratch in the driver's door there are no parking dings besides one in the door and sill that's rusted which is handy.
Have you been in one of these...
So went and had a proper look over the car and took it out for a couple hours today. Drives flawlessly, the low down punch really catches you out as a passenger, feels a lot more aggressive than most cars I’ve driven with that sort of power. Probably a trait of the 2.5.
Sadly found some rust on...
He looks like such a brain dead plank when he’s driving the review cars. Tilts his head to the right and left through squinted eyes as if he’s contemplating everything at once, when the reality is he can barely acknowledge anything but the speedo. How hard do you have to think to pedal in a...
From what I've found out since, he was looking to go self employed and was in a hurry to sell. Prices for these are all over the place, I'd say it was at least 4k under valued, personally. Service and health check booked in for 24th so won't be doing a whole lot with it before then. Itching to...
From my experience in the car scene, using a base map isn't anything new. If anything, depending on who's doing the work, you're better off that they do.
lol, no not a rounding error but have just confirmed with the engine builder at what mileage the engine was dropped in so I have a definite figure!
No I haven't mate, will have a look now
Yep! Will see what SMD find but it seems to run well. Have worked out from what I can today that the engine has covered a little more than what the previous owner was claiming, but the car is only on 57,000 so it's not the end of the world, especially considering what I paid.
Spoke to the builders, they recommend 10w60 lol. He said it shouldn't matter too much but other specalists seem to think 10w50 to 40 is a good grade for a forged motor. Not sure how the owner then surmised 5w30.
cheers ears
That’s a secret, less than it should have been IMO.
Factored in the next service for me and a new splitter.
Needs MOAR power. Maybe. I mean on a block like that the temptation is real.
Thanks dude, although the 2ltr is known for being stronger than the 2.5 lol. Engine feels...
I think with these the one thing to keep in mind (and I wasn't aware of just how bad this was until not long ago), is that the 2.5 suffers really badly with ring land failure, so any improvement is less of a gamble than stock.
Yeah, overall chunkier. It's 1500kg, so it's a good 200 pigglets...
Yeah? To be fair, I've given up looking for tuners that haven't got at least 3 or 4 neckbeards throwing mud lol.
Certainly not mapped recently, car seems to be doing ok. Don't plan on driving it too much before a health check!
Compared to the Evo...it's just different. Chunkier, yes...
I think there's probably some underlying reasons for that. Especially in terms of how they're driven, or how much tolerance is left. More importantly, who's built it, too. Don't currently plan on using it every day.
As this seems to be a complete overhaul it's not directly comparable to a build...
From what I can tell 400 or not too far above is around the limit on the STi top mount. The map from Indigo GT is super conservative, too.
From what I can tell from the paperwork and history, the gent that paid for the work simply wanted the most reliable engine he could have, and wasn't...
