    MK7 golf

Wow, I have absolutely no feelings towards or against it. Its just a car... Zzzzz

    Project: BMW E21.

Just think though, the more fresh new parts you have on it, the sweeter it'll be to drive. I'd be changing things like bushes anyway tbh, unless they've been done fairly recently?

Gaz.'s Honda Accord Type R (VTEC Kicked in etc)

I certainly wouldn't fancy an MX5 after your car history. F**k that.

:o FLOL. I thought I saw your old Tamora last night - same colour, had a bit of an odd numberplate on though.

    MX5 Number 2.

I don't particularly have a long-term plan for it, I'm just trying to finish off building it for now. After I can call it 'done' who knows; might get a silly engine, might get sold/broken for parts. Depends how fed up of it I am! I'd like to think it'll see a track at some point next year...

Probably next week now unfortunately. Plus all the tools I own are still at Sebs ffs! Need a NW meet to make Rack low again.. lol!

    MX5 Number 2.

It won't take a weekend. Probably 30 minutes with a blowtorch, hammer and chisel.. lol! It's just one of those things I've not got round to sorting yet annoyingly.

    MX5 Number 2.

Coilovers are seized currently. But I think even when we get them loose and all the way down to the bottom, it's still going to be very high. So I'll be ordering some shorter Faulkner springs when I know how big they need to be. I'm just enjoying the way it drives at the moment though, it's...

I am at the moment, back Saturday though. It's running brilliant at the moment, new throttle cable has worked wonders! Throttle response is out of this world. Literally.

    MX5 Number 2.

Massive spacers and shorter, stiffer springs. Not tried with the coilovers yet - I need to have another day on it with Seb just fixing little bits and bobs. New brake lines are going to be needed too, desperately!

    MX5 Number 2.

Got 4 new tyres fitted today, so I had a bit of a play around with the wheels since they were off the car trying to make them sit where I want them along with the ride height. Wishful thinking by j0eyD, on Flickr Wishful thinking by j0eyD, on Flickr Wishful thinking by j0eyD, on Flickr...

I used three tins for front end, rear end, two front arches and 1 rear arch. So get 6 if you're planning on doing underneath.

http://www.rejel.com/rejel-store/categoryid/24/list/1/level/a/productid/11078.aspx Ends up being cheaper to buy 3 tins at once rather than 1 tin three times. It tells you underneath the price, anyway.

Good to know you've got a fairly solid shell then! Would be a bit of a nightmare if everything was just rotten under there.. If you're going to underseal it rather than spray it, I'd use that stuff I had - absolutely brilliant tbh!

Needs more poke. Do to it what you did with your flamer IMO.

If you really liked your caravan, you'd get a pretty decent view of it with the roof down... Looking forward to seeing this progress for sure!

Please do go that low. F**k the underside.

    MX5 Number 2.

The thing for me was the sound it made rather than the actual volume. I think it was Turkish who said earlier in this thread that it sounded like a leaf blower, which is spot on really. Must have done 1000 miles in it since the shell swap now and the only thing that's really letting it down is...

It takes twisty roads like a f**king hero though. Seriously, best handling car I've ever owned. Just needs a V8 tbh.

    MX5 Number 2.

It's still not low. Just ticked over to 120K and it's running fine. Pretty sure the brakes are binding slightly as there's a fair bit of drag going on. Got 30.1MPG over the last 260 miles too, which isn't great... Meh. Need a proper exhaust too, heard it from outside for the first time today...

F**ks sake. Missed this due to finishing work at 8am this morning and falling asleep. Looked like a decent meet too!

    Interesting MX5

Don't think I'd like a bike engined MX5... They're just not light enough tbh!

lol!! I live in Salford Quays, so pretty much exactly where I saw you. Was in a red MX5 with a white rear bumper if you remember. Looks a bit of a shed at the moment :o
