Lol! I'll have to keep it quiet. F**k it. I'm not paying £300+ per wheel. Far too poor!
You can do it yourself by taking the manifold off and smashing them out (quite easy as the exhaust faces the rear of the car so there's a load of access) or an exhaust place should be able to do it for...
Lol!
I love it. Its like a more homo MX5, except its much better to drive. Suits me down to the ground!
HSDs have just been released for them too... Time to get saving (which is actually possible this time due to cheaper rent/bills I have now!)
The Celica engine would be more than enough IMO. Its plenty fast enough as it is now anyway. Not going to set the world on fire; you can still go for it 90% of the time and still be within the speed limit. But its got just enough poke to make overtaking nice and safe.
Yeah its all fairly easy...
Like I said, you do get more for your cash with an MX5, but it's just so tough to find one in any sort of decent condition!
LOVE that red leather! lol
Yeah, it was driving me a bit mad. Plus it wasn't actually any good for what I wanted it for. Took it on the Cat & Fiddle run and it was...
Well, I was driving home from work one morning with some idiot in a Punto right up my arse; I dropped into third and gunned it (granted, more noise than speed) the Punto moved over into the middle lane to reveal the Stickered up police X5 that I failed to see behind him. Pulled me over, told me...
As long as I like it I guess. Plus nothing else takes my fancy that isn't around £8/9K tbh.
Need to sort me out a new job(career) first. Then I'll start thinking about stepping my game up a little!
Definite step up from the MK1 MX5's. In all areas. I don't particularly think it'd be too far off the pace of a 1*2... Not as quick for sure, but not as far off as you might think!
Ahh, they're nice! Think my chassis rails were a bit too fubar'd for them after Seb owned the car :o
I've got the 1.8 chassis braces if you want/don't already have them!
Yeah, I don't think it takes much to make them look quite nice. Same with MX5's really. They are a great drive. As standard it does understeer when you throw it into a corner a bit too quickly, and the back end will let go if you get on the 'power' too soon out of a corner - but there's...
I don't know... I don't buy cars to impress other people. I buy cars because they're good to drive. I've owned 7 cars now (discounting the Toyota Lucida I part owned with my mates) and I think you'd agree they're all what you'd call 'drivers cars' other than my first Clio: The Clio, 106 GTI, a...
I picked this up for £2.5k (Up for £2.8) I think they've properly levelled out now with regards to price. Agree about the exhaust. I've done a small amount of research and kinda want a "CHE" centre exit catback. They sound quite nice!
I do still think the MR2 is more of a drivers car. I think the MX5 is way more fun though - purely because it's so easy to hang the arse out! I couldn't find a MK2.5 that actually warranted a test-drive, so didn't even bother tbh. I imagine they're similar to the MK1's but a bit more refined and...
