The way i would go would be find to trace the horn wiring from the button on the steering wheel to the fuse/relay (which ever it reaches first), then cut out this bit of wiring and fit a new switch and wiring to where the original wiring would of attached to the fuse/relay
Surely a track day shouldn't count though and you could fight that because your tracker will pinpoint you location and that will be on a track so not a public road? Oh and as to insuring a young driver being a loss leader surely that is only if the driver has an accident?

i meant did you remove the brake fluid cap before pushing the piston back in the caliper because if not it can damage seals from trying to compress the fluid

To be honest mate you'd be better off just getting the windscreen changed because it will only get bigger, you could drive it to test with it being 9mm, hit a bump outside of the garage and it cracks more meaning your car will fail.
