If you have no compression then cylinders are not sealing, so my guess would be along the lines of the cambelt has jumped and bent valves, sorry to hear mate :(
Did it spin over quicker than mormal? less compression can make cranking speed faster due to less resistance (ie valves not seating...
Most of it yeah mate, I think it's had a bit of oil starvation
New engine coming so it's all good :)
Im guessing it's span a bearing shell, but il see once I have stripped it
I should post this video when people complain about noisey followers lol
Could it have been the gauge was faulty mate? I honestly cannot think of coming across the situation you are describing in 15 years in the motor trade?
(oh, and as previously stated, the 7p's need at least 4500 rpm on them to get going, so yours sounds fine)
thought id take a few videos of the noise
This video is from cold
This is another short clip after it has been running for about 10 minutes
Will be interesting to strip it and find out whats been damaged lol
make sure he used the correct spark plugs too, PFR6E-10 from memory - very important that, many years ago I fitted Bosche super 4's - ran ok for a week and misfired like a pig after that - F4R's need the correct ones, so just make sure he got them mate :)
Then stop spending out so much on it ;) lol
It's pretty up together isn't it? maybe just enjoy it for a bit now? Or does it need somr more work dude?
I know, RS2 it! oh wait....
A trader must sell a car fit for purpose.
The grey area is the age, condition, price - all taken into consideration when an issue comes up.
I would personally take it to one of the specialists on here (in the traders section) and get a proper diagnosis - then speak to him, explain the...
With respect mate, oil pressure will not always be the same - it will rise and drop with engine revs (As oil pump is driven off the engine) and also many things can change oil pressure from ambient temperature down to what viscosity oil you use
Oh im certainly not disputing that Danny, but giving the OP imo, id prefere to go with a complete engine change, vs say a camshaft change and either remap or aftermarket ecu route, going on cost of performance per £
Dont bother with the injectors mate - uprating them will do nothing - to be honest without internal modifications you wont get any more power - and fitting a more performance oriantated camsaft, or modifying the head just isnt worth it - if you really want to get more performance fit either a...
I thought that about the dsg when it first came out mate, but enough miles in the car and you learn to drive around it, i find applying throttle a split second before you woild in a manual seems to work.
Ignore the pressure gauge, there is a sensor for it, which is mounted on the back of the block on the drivers side of the car, by the exhaust manifold, but to be honest i doubt you would get it right without renewing the whole system from gauge to wiring - iv gone through 2 switches and 2 gauges...
As Dans has said mate, i have been lucky enough to own a lot of fast cars, but looking at fun per £ the Clio is the best choice - my Elise was mind blowing, and I will have another, but 8k for the Elise, where as my Exclusive with a new engine in will owe me less than 4 figures - you can't have...
