I use the microfibre applicators i got off you David , better than the little yellow foam ones imo .I was wondering what these are like for applying polish though .
Has anybody ever tried any of these polish applicators , if so were they any good ?

Like mr bognor says . 280mm standard discs , unless the calipers have been modified in some way i'm pretty sure you won't get 300mm discs on as they will catch the caliper .

Try a local motor factors that mix paint . Give them your colour code and they should be able to mix some for you plus its hell of alot cheaper than Renaults touch up pens . A large aerosol will cost about the same as the small touch up paints . Just spray a little in the lid and use a fine...
There might be the odd 06 knocking about , there was only a handful of unregistered 182 's left in the UK when i bought mine in February .Mines 3 weeks off being an 06 , i could have stuck in the garage for 3 weeks then registered it but couldn't be without a car for 3 weeks .
If its as bad as you say with lots of chips your only option will be a respray i'm afraid .
If it was the odd chip here and there you could have done them yourself using this guide but you'll be doing them til next Christmas with this guide if its really bad ...
Mine always goes up . Shop around like Rich said then go back to your original insurer and they will usually better it . Adrian Flux knocked off £165 from their renewal quote for me cos privelige bettered it and i had proof .
I've never accepted any renewal quote ever .
^^^ Thb mate i can't remember if the wheel in the last pic has lacquer on or not as i did it a few months ago but the light in my shed isn't the best for taking pics . I can assure you that the finished article does have a good lacquered finish
This is how i refurbed a badly kerbed alloy .
Process :
Cleaned wheel with AG Engine and machine cleaner . Washed then dried .
Filled all the scratches with Upol D Metallic filler ...
Ideally it should be mixed in a ratio of 60% anti freeze to 40% water . Too much anti freeze can be almost as bad as too little if the outside temp drops to below freezing .
You can buy anti freeze testers for a few quid if your unsure about the strength of the mixture ...
