I would buy a genuine manifold to cat fitting kit (which includes a gasket) and perhaps a new cat to centre section clamp, but really you need to get under the car and check the condition of them. Sportex should send you any fitting clamps for their exhaust (I would have thought!) I didn't use...
I have the second lambda plugged into the loom but not into the de-cat, just cable tied above the heat shield so it reads 'clean' air.
Obviously you need either a lambda bung or a knackered old one to plug the whole in the de-cat.
My light still comes on infrequently but goes out again after...
Frankly the only difference is the noise and the extra hassle of either spacing out the second lambda sensor or hiding it above the heat shield to ensure the light doesn't.
Plus, you get the job of removing it every year for the mot.
However, if you did go ahead with it - I would advise...
