Yeah i am mate, its always showed not great oil pressure, normally 0.5 ish at idle when hot, and 2.5-2.7ish when warm at 3k.
From cold it shows 3 bar ish on idle, and 4 bar at 3k
It raises a little at WOT, but as soon as the revs get higher it starts to drop off, which iv not seen a mk1 gauge...
Whats the new job mate?
Id keep the 182 a little longer.
Bear in mind how much fun they are standard, you don't need £1000 coilovers or cyptonite injection, and id be a little nervous throwing an 11k car around a track day.
Id hold onto the 182 for a while longer, have some more fun on track...
Flol! It was on the way home one afternoon, been down a rough driveway from a farm and it dropped out - the road back home I know very well so didn't actually use my brakes for about 4 miles or so, as soon as I did it I pulled over to check and guessed where it had fallen out - low and behold...
Me, i prefere the 4, only because knowing what you're like I can imagine the silly spec it is lol, and I love the wide arches - the 6 is nice, but id prefere the 4
Not sure, the OP seems to not have veantured back in this thread?
We still are unsure if it has any SH, as Dave said you would expect 6-7 stamps by now...
Yes, there is a chance its the cts, but id get the fault codes read just in case mate - iv seen coil packs cause missfires that only miss once their warm, it could also be a plug or lead breaking down
Id would imagine yes, i work for VW and our batterys have a 3 year warranty, so get it booked in for diagnosis - remember it could be an electrical issue thats draining it, so it might not be the battery
Leaky rad? Sounds like an S1 hey mate ;)
to be honest, id keep it mate. If it reliable, and you like it, then get the belts done, and look out for another set of wheels in better condition with part worn tyres, means you save a bit of money and keep a great car thats perfect for flinging around...
Problem :(
fitted a new oil pressure sender as the pressure gauge didnt work properly, and although it holds ok pressure, at full throttle over 4500rpm it looses pressure - as soon as I back off throttle it shoots back up.
Im hoping it's a faulty gauge but I have a spare set so I tried them...

All said in jest mate, welcome to the forum.
Just try to chill out a bit, and take things with a pinch of salt.
Now onto your car, you want a turbo conversion? Just be prepared to do it properly, you will need to be spending a good 4 or 5 thousand pounds
A few hours into it now and tbh for me it just gets better and better!
I dont play in on my own, only with 1 or 2 mates, and simply running around, exploring and trying to not get eaten, it's bloody awesome lol
Williams is in a different league IMO, and feels more stable thanks to the wider front track. Plus it will hold its vaue better.
Yeah AT or PH are both good, as is WilliamsClio (Or my other Williams I have for sale - PM me ;) )
A minter yes, the valvers are cheaper than the williams mind, but thats to be expected due to the Williams extra kit it has.
You can get solid ones that need tidying up mind
