Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
Good updates jord. Any luck with your unit? or you just going to keep doing little bits on the drive untill your mum has a go at you again.
Only a cable mate, its not something you maintain untill something go's wrong. Its now 13 years old and god knows how many miles, nothing to worry about what so ever.
I think it will be a huge difference to the valve mate, however its certainly a huge upgrade.
If you have it in anything like the condition your valver was then it will be an amazing car.
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Haven't realy been followin this thread however I will be from now on. This is a realy good project mate, when you hoping to get it on track then?
Well the engines have the same power and torque (well RT is 2nm more) the mai difference is your car is 945kg but the RT is 885kg. Basically you need to lose 60kg to keep up.
If I was you i'd just accept that his car is faster in a straight line, maybe do some suspension mods etc and just try...
A 200bhp mini would give a bhp/ton of 175. I'm sure that would be sufficient to pass any standard RS Clio.
£495 in a mini will see 210bhp, they are very tunable.
Realy sorry to see this mate. It was one of my favourite cars on here. I'm sure which ever car replaces it will be just as good, you obviously have great taste in modifying cars.
Needs de-chaving badly, ATM it looks pretty crap imo.
Not a bad price for a mint model but a decent set of turini's and tyres will be £400.
New Grills and fog surrounds will be £100.
Definately not as good as your flamer.
