you can't really get a miltek to sound like a rally car unfortunately. have you heard videos of christophers car on here? that is about as raspy as you can get a miltek, if thats not enough you will have to get a system custom made as sanders said. or a decatted yozza.
edit: sorry i thought...
welding is not really an issue. its pretty straight forward but you will need to take it to an exhaust specialist so that they can use a stainless steel weld. thing is, the straight through centre section will never need removing, unless you don't like it. but the decat will, unless you have a...
cheapest.
if you are going on a long journey and you usually use std unleaded and you decide to fill up for the long journey with v-power etc... it apparently takes 3 full tanks to get the 'benefits' of the fuel. so pointless imo unless you always use v-power.
i did my own tests and i cant...
leave the standard cat in place. its a very free flowing 200 cell cat anyway. if you want the extra noise a decat gives, just get the centre section removed on the exhaust. no hassle at mot time and no warning lights. no brainer imo.
nice one mate! sounds great doesn't it :)
not loud from inside the car but a lovely sound from outside.
well worth doing imo just to get rid of the silly blowing/rattling v clamp.
its not the hole in the bottom of the mirror cap, people always think it is. its the gap where the mirror folds that is the problem. i put insulation tape on mine one day to seal the gap and it stopped it. no way of stopping the noise without having non folding mirrors im afraid. apart from...
^^^ they do adjust. and are £12 something from renault. not expensive but i would try adjusting it first. if it needs replacing, make note of the colour of the terminal block, mine was white which is the common one but there are 4 or more colours apparently.
first remove the switch by twisting...
i have had prolines, sportlines, apex and std cup springs on my car. this is my veiw:
prolines- improved handling over standard. less roll, slightly firm. tiny bit more crashy than std. but no lower than std
sportlines- improved handling over standard. less roll, slightly firm, tiny bit...
i take it easy in the week and average around 42mpg
weekends it tends to drop a fair bit. never really below 32mpg tho over a week. usually ends up about 36/37mpg mixed driving. i think thats pretty good really.
think i get 330miles ot of the tank? something like that. i never run it on empty.
