Very nice indeed. I think the wheels look good in the colour there in, just needs lowering a little bit for me. Not crazily fast in standardish form from my experience but lots of room for potential! Does that RR figure say 156whp also?
Thats fair enough, as said i've only glimpsed over your thread. If its all going to be done then it will look good when done. I'm also not knocking the painting you done already...
Looks great from the outside, but from reading parts of your project thread the paintjob seems a bit half arsed. Not painting the engine bay or the inside the car does seem a bit pointless given you've done everything else.
As said though looks very nice on the outside.
Just key up the manifold a little bit and then use some of halfords Very high temperature paint as Steve said. No need for primer or laquer and looks really good.
Heres mine painted with the Renaultsport bit part polished. Took me half hour to prep and paint it, dries really quickly...
Braided hoses and some decent Dot 4 brakes fluid first, I flushed the whole system out with new stuff also. That alone made a big difference, then after that i'd go for Brembo HC's and then depending on your driving style and car use choose a set of pads.
Go for some carbone Lorraine pads for the standard calipers, easily enough breaking power and the RC6's which I have on my Cup cost £130 including next day delivery. Saves you over £500 for anything else.
Seats look good also!
If you were going to go for a silver it would have to be really really shiny, almost polished to look good. The paint on them BMW wheels looks a bit chavvy, almost like they've put glitter in it. Still think white looks the best, black and anthracite just makes the car look dull.
Bloody hell, 14 miles you say? :S Just got some RC6's and the guy from Kam Racing said they would be a little dusty... :( Good job the paintwork on my wheels arent that great anyways.
Yeah i've read a couple of threads about them but nothing definitive. Hopefully someone like Fred/sidewaysdanny etc etc will come on a give me all the info I need!
Nah not coming to Bedford now, theres lots of things I need to do/sort for the Llandow trackday that I completely forgot about!
Got mine through the post today, looking to get them fitted this afternoon but have a few questions.
The CL's come with 4 little 3M pads, not sure what these are for? They also dont have what looks like a split pin at the top centre of the pad like the standard ones I have also?
Also whats...
Any people paying the £99 for the 6 sessions? Thinking about it but after seeing quite a few idiots on track last year it makes me want to book just a couple of sessions.
Looks good james, definately needs black wheels to pull it off though. Looks like this one fits this time, Matt's actually started doing something as well? :)
Cheers matey, will have to give me a hand if thats alright with a few bits like the brakes and bleeding them. Will sort you out for lending a hand obviously :)

So a bit of a project really, but not in the normal why of ripping it apart and tracking it though this was the idea at first! :o
Picked it up about a month ago with the intention of putting the Cup back to standard and using the Saxo as a track car but decided against it as i've spent enough...
