Back end on a FWD car needs as much grip as possible, the rear is lighter and is more likely to lose traction than the front due to the weight of the engine/transmission.
Something like that anyway.
Thats gona be a nightmare to fit, I fitted one of them Mannix pager systems to mine with remote start sort of had it going but could not get it to work in conjunction with the thatcham one fitted so ended up removing it.
Good luck with fitting it m8
Sounds like an immobiliser fault, fairly common fault, go back to your dealer and ask them to change the UCH.
Oh....Does the immobiliser light flash rapidly when it wont start?

is that a good price for that item?
Headgasket, look around the area where the head sits on the block, they leak at the corners usually.
Best to clean it up before checking, makes finding the leak real easy then
It is normal, its to do with the car having to meet emission regulations, so it runs as weak as possible when cold.(something like that anyway)
Mines a complete f**ker since I have modded it on initial start up, but after a min or 2 its ok and drives well

1.2 to 172, thats my next project , my little bro wants it done when he gets his clio, so god damn it! it will be done!!:)
I told him everything else will be left standard, so it will be a pucker street sleeper:)
Check the nearside gearbox mount to ensure all bolts are tight, all you need to do is to remove the battery and tight the two 13mm bolts and the main bolt in the middle of the mounting.
The one I changed on Markcups car was the osf engine mounting, was ok for a while but has come back as far...
