I will be going I think. Hoping to get a lift there though because I don't fancy it in my 1.2 tbh. People will think that I got it confused with ASDA carpark lol
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
What was it like to drive on track then jord? how does it go compared to 1*2's?
Whats the plan for the front bumper? respray etc or just fix it and leave it.
Is the car suposed to be a track **** or do you want it mint aswell?
Realy good news Ryan. Hope you have no more problems mate. Will have to have a proper look at it at the Xmas meet, not seen it since its been running properly. Was very smokey etc at the karting meet in october.
Cleaned it yet ;)
Did you take your ZS on track btw?
Good point that, thats why you rarely seen a non sport clio around :S
Granded they are not as good as sports but for a first car there are plenty of worse cars. Saxo? Corsa? 206?.......
Tbh I don't think any cars now have good build quality etc. My Grandads 56 plate Toyota Verso has a pretty bad dash rattle. I've seen a 58 plate astra being pushed off a roundabout in rush hour etc.
I wouldn't think twice about buying another renault (well renaultsport)
Good project this kieran. I'm thinking of getting a ph1 next year. I wouldn't do such extreme stripage personally because I couldn't be doing with it as a daily driver.
Ph1's looks awsome though don't they? Much more agressive than a ph2. Will look realy good with the coilies and exhaust...
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
Jords project is very insteresting and he isn't trying to cowboy it etc he is just doing a project himself and learning about it etc. He can already do more than 95% of people on here etc.
Imo there is too much of abusing peoples project thread on this forum. I think if...
Gutted for you mate, hope they catch the f*****s. What insurance company you with? I'm with directline and they have vandlism cover where you don't loose your ncb etc hopefully your insurance company will do a similar thing.
I supose the clio just isn't for you mate. Personally I like the fact the clio is small light and chuckable. The mondeo is a big fast heavy car, and although they are quick and handle well they drive differently to the clio. Think you just chose the wrong car for you mate, give it some time maybe?
Just take it easy make sure you get the cluch up then ease on the power and you can avoid wheelspin.
Saying that I managed to wheelspin badly in 1st yesteday on a busy roundabout, got the launch wrong and it just spun like mad but I couldn't lift off as a 4x4 was heading towards me, even spun...
Thanks mate will have to have a good look over it, its a realy interesting project.
Thats my plan mate. This is a thread from the dead, when I was getting impatient a few months back. Plan atm is to get a ph1 172 and have it as a project because I want something I can play with without...
