Love them both. The 172 is absolutely perfect! Though I have to agree with the majority that the facelift is a nicer looking car. The interior seems to be improved too; it's a very nice place to be, in the Focus.

Can't be as bad as the melting MK2 wheels though? And the thumb grips - they frequently perish.

I was close to buying a black MK2 VTS on 60k for £900 before I got the 6. Unbelievably cheap really - and they're superb cars from a driving perspective

Ah, here! http://www.myshowplates.com/number-plate-designer.asp The website is gash, but the plates are spot on and fairly cheap :) Oh, and for reference, I think I got an 8"x6" front plate and 13"x6.5" rear - fits in a JDM recess perfectly! (Which should definitely be on your to-do list ;))...
