    My 1.2 Clio lived on the motorway and it was fine, just be prepared to change down quite often.

    Not according to parkers figures and my experience of driving both. 1.1 Saxo 1124/4 60HP 102MPH 12secs 0-60 1.2 16v Clio 1149/4 75HP 106MPH 12.6 0-60

    A saxo 1.1 only has 15bhp less than a Clio 1.2 16v but ways much much less, the stats say it all.

    1.1 8v Saxo is probably quicker than a 1.2 16v Clio in my experience.

    its on 33k around 150 miles per week at home and 10 miles a week at uni.

    pmsl @ 1.2 cup! Try and find a dynamique 1.2 16v with aircon very nice first car and they hold their money well.

    Air cons a waste of Vpower anyway, i wouldnt use it even if I did have it. I would rather spend my petrol on catapulting down the bypass once a week than freezing my b****cks off in the car.
