RS clio's are depreciating quicker than 2nd hand condoms atm. I'm hoping in 11 months time 4k should see me in a nice <60,000 FSH PH2 172. Infact it can now but an even better example in a years time.
Tbh to get less than 2K you need to be 19 thats the benchmark i'm aiming for. untill thenits driving my standard 1.2 16v to save up and hopefully gain an ncb.
Hoping to get insured on a 172 for circa £1800 at 19 with 1 ncb with enough haggling.
+1 its all down to luck tbh, i'd be inclined to buy my 172 off a forum where you can check the cars history via the owners posts etc and usually they are serviced properly etc.
Although you can only buy sensibly if you buy a 50,000 mile car with fsh and good bodywork then you have done all you...
The colour, wheels and spoiler look great on the cup and its the better looking car imo.
Performance wise i'm unable to comment.
Although if you go for the normal 172 then you can always buy turinin's and a cup spoiler very popular mods.
And its easy to find salvaged parts off cups at...
Its a pretty expensive thing to break 6 times chris, although the ammount of times i've scraped the bottom of my bumper i'f i had a splitter and was on coilies i'd have done the same things
As ab6ve, most people raise it to circa 7800rpm. Also RS clio's are known for having inconsistant power outputs maybe you have a "quick-un"
Its a lottery whether you get a good one or not.
Loving the RB mate, turini's would set it off now. Coilies look awsome.
I think RB is now my favourite colour for 182's it was arctic but i'm being converted.
true i've got two claims on my policy, both off my scooter non fault calims. Have to declare them for 1 more year before they're over 3 years old. direct line didnt charge me forn the though.
If i find a company that does charge me i may just play the I though it only ment cars line, i didnt...
I went on my dads insurance for a year at 17, now i'm 18 i'm on my own for £1450 FC with direct line.
Its illigal but loads of people do it, i know of two lads who have done it and crashed within the last month and both where payed out.
When i test drove the 1.2 turbo i found it felt a fair bit quicker than my 1.2 16v when driving around town due to the extra torque low down but when gunning it didnt feel much quicker especially in 1st and 2nd it did pull better in 3rd but not worth the upgrade imo.
Aslong as your not gunning it everywhere a decat should improve fuel economy as its removing a restriction in the exhaust so gasses etc flow better so the engine car run more efficiently hence more power and quicker revving with a decat.
