    I would agree with Middo, when I drove fubars old ph1 it felt alot 'tighter' than my 1.2 16v which has done less miles and is newer.

    I think if you park next to each other a MK1 1.2, MK2 ph1/ph2 1.2, and a MK3, its clear the cars are getting bigger but the engines aren't!

    How much would a kwik fit type place charge to do the above? Just standard pads, I hopefully will be changing it in a few months so theres no point putting performance ones on there. Cheers, Alex

    Looks like I need new pads then! I thought it was the pedal squeaking. Mine idles at 1k when cold and is abit lumpy, but it soon settles down to 500rpm, sweet as a nut.
