    Yep... Had my box fully rebuilt at agency transmissions. Top guys, Top work!! :D Turned around in 2 days, the box looked brand new as they even cleaned the box :)

    it really isnt a bad job to swap the box over... in you had a garage with ramps / air tools etc. 4 ~ hrs is achievable

    Depending on the condition on the rest of the car... service history, tyre condition, brakes etc. etc. bodywork etc. but not alot with a dead gear box :(

    It will be the reostat, they cause all sorts of problems with the heaters when they fail! there is a guide on the forum somewhere, search "heater not working"! :)

    A new reostat is very expensive... Around £200 and a dealer part only! You can repair them if you know what you are doing though
