There's a sticky on air filters in the engine section. From reading that whilst testing those kits there were minimal gains an a few cons when compared with to the standard airbox, shows how well the standard box does for the car in standard trim. But the Ktec one an a few similar homemade...
I had a bmc on my 172 with samco elbow, didn't really rate it an there was a rise in inlet temps. Also the car felt a bit flat tbh, proffered running standard airbox with k'n panel filter an car felt better too
I obtained an inner CV boot kit a few years ago from my local dealer, came with new boot, an all circlips required for dismantling the joint. Never used it, still in the shed as I just replaced it with a new shaft as was told by a few on here it wouldn't work/fit correctly
Was this quote obtained from a comparison site? If so I'd actually check it out as they often tend to work out more, I paid a grand at 21 with 3 years no claims an that was a few years ago an apparently premiums have increased since then!
Sounds like coil pack symtoms tbh but i'd throw a set of leads in it too, tdc sensors usually give inttermitant starting problems. When were the plugs last changed? Gsf were quite reasonable for valeo coilpacks when I last brought one
Sounds like a good weekend to me, I've done quite a few belts on me old f4r's, brought all the tooling from renault too. I a mechanic by trade, I don't think there a bad belt once everythings out the way.
Nah the f4r pulleys aint keyed, the f4rt ones are off the megane sports. The f4r pulley is ment to be free, biggest pain in the arse is when there not.
Theres quite a few pop up on here an ebay tbh, plus as said if your not clued up yourself It could end up costing you more in the long run to fit something else then buy an f4r
Thats why I love the clio cup, the fact the cars are pretty much identical makes it dead great motorsport to watch as its so close an down to driver ability.
Little b******s, I had my old 197 drivers door keyed. I even reckon I know who did it but its just one of those things, you just have to bite the bullet as harsh as it is. Just jealous spineless c***s! Luckily me best mates a painter an he painted door an blew it in but it was ultra red so...
At the end of the day you get what you pay for with coilovers, I hear good things about the ktec jobbies for day to day driving but I think I would rather stick to standard jobbies. I ran Kw's on my old 172 after running gaz gha an the kw were awesome but again there pricey. I now run sachs...
Cracking trophy, loving what your doing to it. little touchs but still remains original, same way i'm going with mine. Out of interest have you got a link for those wheel bolts, my standards have started rusting an really lets it down. Cheers
Quick question, whilst I'm refurbing me trophy suspension I'm thinking of replacing my rear Sachs units with some adjustable koni units. Mainly for the fact there adjustable an seems a common thing to do. Now I've read around about revalving them, where can I get this done?
