True. My 1.2 16v is 6yrs old now and I haven't had any problems with it, except the cd player is on the way out (put a cd in and it doesn't return it for 2 weeks). Having said that the previous owner was an old dear and probably didn't thrash it too much. I will hopefully be buying a ph 1 172...

Whats that in English, my car is identical to yours a 1.2 16v expression, and does 100mph in 4th, as does c.slickers which is the same as well. If yours only does 80mph it must be feked or you can't drive.

Agreed, I paid around that at 19 on a 1.2 16v with 0 years no claims and alloys declared. I paid upfront though if that makes any difference. Insurance on an RS i ve been getting quotes of £1500 fully comp, 1yrs no claims, 2.5yrs driving experience with no points or accidents, aged 20.

Twinport is vauxhall's version of 16 valves. Its only available on the 1.2, 1.4, 1.8. The 1.0 is a 3 cylinder 12v.
