When I sell my car I will be selling the mods on here (where I bought most of them) as my car standard will appeal to a wider audience and I will get more for it.
I should get back the money I paid for the bits, so it effectively won't have cost me anything to have my car modified.
If you buy the parts secondhand off here you can take them off and sell them when you get rid of the car and you should get most of your money back, go for it.
No probs, not getting at you, I just learnt the hard way in my old car ended up bending the suspension etc after kissing a kerb. Got all new contis on my steel wheels and new toyos on my alloys.
Must be the power of the 1.6 :D
That tyres wearing abit on the outside isn't it, are you sure you don't need your tracking done. I believe the tread has to be 1.6mm accross 75% of the tyre.. Your tyres are the only contact between you and the road so not worth skimping on, although thats probably all right for now.
Stick the plate off your own car on it lol. Im joking.
Its all very risky for 200miles, you would probably get away with it, but if you had an accident and your insurance invalidated you could be in the poo. How much is it to hire a trailer or one of those towing frame things.
Hmm, I would hpi it, could be a hacked ebay account, very cheap.
For that money you can forgive the chav plates and the 6x9's, new parcel shelf required.
Even if it drives so much better than the Clio on the test drive (it won't) is it worth an additional £4k plus over your cup?
I would either get something all together totally different, Elise, VX etc, or spend £1.5k on the Clio, buckets coilovers etc then take the gf on a nice holiday!
Your asking on a Clio forum. You would need to put your hand in your pocket to change, and its a horizontal change rather than an upgrade.
I would keep the cup or get something all together completely different, I don't like the image associated with type r's or the looks, best bits the engine...
It seems theres certainly abit of choice about and i ve got no problems travelling to find a minter. Thanks to all those who have contributed, the aim of this thread was to get a feel for the market and get some idea as to what I should be paying.
To those offering me stunning cars left right...
Oh dear, at this rate I could end buying a piece of very expensive garden furniture! What sort of tidying? Im in no great hurry to buy as I would have to store it for a while...
Seems like you got a good deal, private I assume? Its mars red isn't it same as the vee rather than flame red?
Lol, nah I wouldnt charge you for a passenger ride its only a clio! Nah you'd be fine, I never thought the garage would let me take it for a test drive to be honest!
Just as well I like the silver then! There seems to be loads about.
No great rush really just want to research it thoroughly before I rush into anything like my last car.
I like the idea of an exclusive but I dont like the seats, prefer the standard to be honest.
You can have a drive if you...
Lol, no probs mate, even if i got one tommorow i can't insure it until July so it would be sat in the garage till then. Although I need to investigate these day insurance companies as I think you can insure any car for a tenner a day, could take it out on sundays lol!
Lol, with no number plates I doubt I got a ticket, but if I did, I warn you now your heading for a ban! Just kidding.
Thats what dell boy told me, good on you though, my grandad bought a brand new pug 207 couldnt believe it when he turned up and it was on the fuel light with no mats!! I told him...
Lol Ok, well he even rang someone at Westover when I was there to chase it up, apparently your 'a tricky guy to deal with' I couldnt keep a straight face.
I can confirm its going back on that reg as I had those plates in the windows when doing :quiet: mph down the bypass.
Well they haven't even got electricity on site, let alone warranty facilities. I keep meaning to look up the company name on the companies house site.
If i didn't know that you were the previous owner I wouldnt have taken a second look, the place doesnt inspire me with confidence! Theres a...
