    24k Mile Charade GTTi

Had a GTti before my first Ph1 172 :ROFLMAO: Bought it off a friend, it was an absolute shed... Made hilarious noises but didn't do much. Proper foreshadowing bit of kit tho.. 3pot turbo petrol 🤓 Haven't got many pics of it, but here's a crap one with my mates old Rex

How to help my Clio have a little nap for a few month?

Make sure you can get in when the battery dies. Don't start it up, you'll do more harm than good inc. filling the exhaust with water as it will never get hot. Don't put handbrake on, leave it in gear. Chock it if you think it'll be more than 3 months and leave it out of gear. If it's on a...

    What is this for????

Is it connected in to the OBD ? Take it out .. if the car starts, throw it away. Maybe. In a week, just incase.. If it's wired in... Well, as above haha ! It's not original and it probably won't be important.

    Decent DSLR for video

Sony A6300 and a 10-20mm lens ? 16mm might not be wide enough.. (comes with a 16-50) No kit lens will probably be wide enough for you. 4k and slick hi-rate (slow-mo) too. WiFi sending of pics to phone is brilliant too.. 10mm: 16mm (as per kit lens): My toes are about 2ft from the...

Track car insurance annual v daily?

Where are you getting a day insure for £20 ?! Let alone for a modified car... Serious question btw. Don't think I've ever found it for less than £40/50 and never with any modifications. If you're going annual policy - is that with a 1-2k mileage limit ?! Otherwise it doesn't make sense...

PERL is brilliant... Can dilute as required - see link.. Use it sparingly on door rubbers, plastics, tyres, anything you fancy on that theme, even leather (y) Plastics Engine Rubber Leather https://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=373021

The importance of dressing the rubber bits around your wheels... 🤓 Actually, I did one side of car with PERL and one with an ancient bottle of CG trim gel which is probably, older than that 7 year old @gally calls his daughter.... Will see how they last. Car needs another wash though...

182... what upgrades would you fit to your perfect spec road car?

Was it @Greeny. next door then ? Only had my UWA lense for some reason, so no decent tracking shots. And it was bloody cold too... Don't think your OH got out the car all day

Chris Harris - Collecting Cars Podcast

Absolutely brilliant. Harry's one was ace. Hearing how he got Evo magazine off the ground was fascinating. Tiff was ok but he only has 2 stories which he tells every time he's been on camera since 1993. Did you know he was in a formula one race ??? David Clark was good.. McLaren stories...

Back to the old skool! Bucket and sponge...

What ? Do you want recommendations for buckets and sponges ? Or "the best" things money can buy to clean your car ? As far as I'm aware, you live in a flat... Do you have an outside tap ? Got a pressure washer ? Do you have a polisher, Rotary or DA ? Do you have anything at all or are...

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

You've still got the same signal coming from the HU tho... Yes, possibly slightly better but it's really not worth it. A 10/13cm paper cone on the door card isn't ever going to be ideal. Set the LPF to 80 or 100hz and see if it sounds clearer when a bit louder.. Obviously that means there'll...

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

Yeah the tweeters are in the dash top. Woofers (if you can call them that) are by the carpet so they'll be no good with high end stuff firing at your ankles.

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

Play around with the HPF/LPF and stop the bass to the fronts. Get a sub, job jobbed. Underseat or in the boot. The standard fronts are already a separate tweeter and woofer, without the heavy low end stuff going through them they will go loud enough to make you uncomfy before they distort.

Open hose, very slow so minimum splashing... Wash the water away from top to bottom. Have a look on YT I'm sure there'll be vids showing you. Be amazed how "dry" you can get a car with water. Obvious things such as not washing your black car in bright hot sunlight helps too...
