Just to check mate, you are pulling off and blocking the idle control valve pipe, the one that comes off the idle control valve and runs to the inlet elbow? Not the engine breather on the bottom of the t/b? Pull it off the inlet elbow, and block it with your thumb, the car should stall

Not the engine breather, the icv pipe mate, pull it off the inlet elbow and block it with the t/b closed the car idles via the icv, if the pipe is blocked and it still is idling then you have an air leak

Was it a generic map mate or custom map? If it was a custom map was it mapped without a filter on?

Iv found the VAG lumps do give a small vibration through the pedal mate, if you rest your foot onthe pedal you might feel it at a standstill too. I think its mothing to worry about, but if your not happy or it gets worse pop it into your dealer, wont cost you anything :)

The only problems with DPF is owners not reading their manuals. The amount of people who come in with DPF lights on is rediculous, we say have you read your handbook? Answer is always no, in the book it says to give the car a good run every once and a while to clear the DPF unit, we had a...

Sorry guys, i disagree a little, most ph1's iv seen come out around 165, id say thats a little low on power, as Fred said new lambda, a good service too. When was the cambelt changed mate? Did they use the correct locking tools?

Go carefull there, locking buts shouldnt be as tight as regular nuts (90nm compared to 110nm from distant memory) and that means 2 bolts in each wheels are done up not quite as tight as normal ones, id stick to just one locking one per wheel

You can paint it however you wish really, the 'best' way is to have it painted professionally off the car
