If money wasn't a problem i'd keep it . Surely the car will have some kind of insurance against damage , as would your possesions . Or you could sell it and get yourself a monster v6 holden , ain't petrol as cheap as chips over there in the land of sheep n sheilas ??
MrBillyUK !
My battery is the original fitted when new but its never been a good un , every now and then it won't fire up first time , its only 420 amps . Go for a good heavy duty one about 620amps or there abouts with like a 3 or 4 year guarantee and keep the receipt in a safe place .
MrBillyUK !
I'll put money on it that its your cable . Standard ide cables only have 40 wires and 40 pins . Get down to a local computer shop tomorrow and get an 80 wire 40 pin ide cable . Only a couple of quid .
MrBillyUK !
Has your pioneer110D just started giving you errors or was ok before ?
How many wires has your ide cable got ? Pioneers prefer and 80 wire 40 pin ide cable . Also try updating yur firmware from pioneers website ...

Make sure you get discs with the bearing already in and the abs ring . I got the ones without so its gonna be a bit of a bigger job . Gonna wait til its a bit warmer ,lol .
MrBillyUK !
I wouldn't worry about it . I've had the abs light on a few times in snow , had the same in my Pug 306 S16 . Only worry if its on when your drivin' on clear roads , then you've gotta problem .
MrBillyUK !
I'd like to see your throttle/clutch balance going up the big hill i have to go up when all the snows been compacted then frozen into sheet ice . Its impossible to get up .You get half way then slide back down . But i've seen poxy little fiestas with skinny tyres get up it no problem.
MrBillyUK !
Its just the snow m8 . They car thinks its skiddin . Nothing to worry about , i always get it when i dare to venture out in the snow . My 172 won't go anywhere in the deep snow and i live up the top of a very steep hill :(
MrBillyUK !
Don't bother m8 .I had one fitted on my pug 306 s16 for a day . It fcuked up the fuellin so the ecu went into backup mode . Struggled to get to 80mph . fitted at a reputable garage so they took it back of and gave me my money back .
MrBillyUK !
Had to change my plugs at 36k miles on a mk2 172 .It was juddering up to about 2500 revs . Got it checked out on the comp at the local bosch garage , got the plugs changed and its been good as new ( touch wood ) ever since . So much for 72k eh !

Like i said mate .
It might do with some makes of drives but not all , as millions of people probably know . The pics clearly show the times remaining as " 4 " and thats with the latest official firmware on both drives . Maybe your using unofficial firmware ?? In that case its a risk you take...
When i've checked out goodridge braided brake hoses for a mk2 172 , how come they are in a set of 4 ? I thought you would only need to change the front 2 hoses as the back are copper brakelines .
Any help would be much appreciated . Wheres the best best place to get em price wise .
MrBillyUK !
Best disks are anything made with the Ritek g05 dye , ridisc ,sumvision , traxdata etc .... , its a dark purple dye . Best and cheapest place i go is to Bowlers computer fair , part of the northern computer markets . Depends where in the country your from though ...
Don't think so mate !
I just closed down anydvd and put in Greendays dvd which is region , 2,3,4,5 and 6 and it asked me to choose my region , which i did . Now the drive has only 4 times remaining to choose my region before it locks .
Thats on a brand new lite-on dvd drive and also on my...
Thats new one on me Roy !
I've flashed alot of drives in my time but it doesn't unlock the drive !!!
It will still lock to region of the 5th dvd that you play whatever firmware you have . You need region free dvd or anydvd to unlock it .

What about a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI ?
Good figures for an oil burner 0 - 60 7.6 secs , top speed 136mph .
People talk of 0 - 60's with 0.2 of a second , it depends whos driving it , even with a couple of seconds , one bad gear change and you've blown it .
MrBillyUK !
I've used clonedvd2 for the past couple of years , never had a problem and lets say i've burned well over a 1000 dvd's ;) ;)
I always use good quality dvd-r's , with the ritek go5 dye , they are a darker purple than some of the cheaper dyes .
Dvd shrinks good , but you need something like nero...
The best program out there is clonedvd2 .It rips it to your hard drive and burns it all in one . You have the option of leaving in r taking out full menus , trailers , subtitles , 5.1 , stereo 2 channel .5 clicks is all it takes.
The second best is dvd shrink , which is readily available as a...
My sincere apologies Lunner !!
I'm as thick as fcuk :( lol .
Your right m8 , thins as it gets hotter , too much christmas drink has pickled my brain ;)
MrBillyUK !
If your batteries reading 12v when its running its knackered mate !
You should be looking for a reading of over 14v , typically 14.10v or above when the engines running with nothing else turned on i.e . lights , heater ,cd player etc .....
To check your battery if the car hasn't been running...
I still say that a good fully synthetic 5w-40 is the best for an older car .I wouldn't go too thin cos you don't know the condition of the bores or piston rings . It take a good 10 - 15 mins to get the oil up to temp and thicken up .
MrBillyUK !
Alright Sad clio geek ;) !
How can ya tell the difference ?
They are a better quality aluminium than the originals ,they are like thick cooking foil ,lol ;)
