i work for VW, and if a customer wants a replacement service book the servicing dealer can re-stamp a new one.
I realise thats VW,but might be worth popping into your local dealer and asking mate?
agreed with Scott, don't waste your money getting a 182 fella, just look for a later reg'd (02 on) 172, it should have everthing the 182 has, exept you wont need to worry about messing about with exhausts and bumpers

And this lol, i think a mint low miles ph1 is worth 4k, but then again its all what the buyer will pay, its bound to need a few things doing to it, i mean its hardly been used
seems about right mate, luck of the draw with some, mines on 131k and iv only had to do shocks, brakes, exhaust and engine mounts, now you have done all that you wont need to worry about it for another 250k

Its to do with emissions apparently, it runs a rich map for the first few mins to get the car to warm up faster, gives the impression that the car struggles to pull revs, as said after a few mins it will clear, just a point in the map when cold where it needs a bit more fuel
Nothing to worry about
Every 5 years or 72k mate, but don't leave it that long, not worth the chance in breaking, so yours should have had it done on time basis, if not its a year overdue
