If you're going red I'd have the black roof option - looks the nuts on red. The Bluetooth stereo is a must, play songs through iPhone and answer calls, then you might as well add on the monitor for 120 sheets.
If you don't get black speedlines, spend the money on a refurb to gloss black.
Cup...
Can't comment on 197, only the 200. But I did have a 225 and it was great for lazy cruising, not so good on the back roads. It didn't have cup suspension though, so I'd definitely want it if you went for the meggy. Compared to the 200, there's only one that I'd have every time. The clio is much...
Nimbus in meanwood 8.15 this morning on a 59 plate
Nimbus near David Lloyd centre 4.15 this afternoon on a 60 plate
White in Horsforth tonight at 10.15 on a 60 plate
I have White, albeit Pearl, but as I was signing up there was an albi with black speedlines and Recaros in the showroom. I was so tempted to just say I'll have that. Glad I didn't, but Albi would be my second choice after what I got.
However, I also agree with the point that you can't really...
I used to think the 197 was better looking, but side by side it just looks dated imo. Apart from the stupid headlight thing, I think overall the 200 wins it
White is the best for a 200. I went pearl to be different. But if I were to spec again without Pearl White an option, it would be Albi and Black Speedlines. Looks far better in the flesh than people give it credit for
I love em both, but have a blast in a r26.r with a ti exhaust and, for me, there's only one I'd buy
I'd be too scared of other people in the vee (the uneducated, mums in car parks, teenagers), whereas if people recognise the .r it's cos there in 'the know' and, dare I say it, give it a bit...
The mileage thing only kicks in if you want to hand the car back and totally walk away, ie not sign up to another car (Don't forget it doesn't have to be a Renault) or keep it. I personall will sell privately if I want rid as it should be quite a bit higher than the GFV
And leather all round. To be fair to the Gordini, it costs the same as speccing up a 200FF to that standard, but it's already done for you. So if it's your taste then that's fine.
People say the Gordini is pointless because it's not what we wanted from the Gordini name. Most people wanted a go...
Not that I know about, or care about rolling roads and figures blah blah blah, but EVO's 200 made 205, so you're right they don't make book figures
As already stated, if it feels underpowered/slow, get a different one, or a different car if 'book figures' are your thing. There's so much more to...
Were 182 cups only a couple of hundred less new? Not too sure on that one.
As for worst? All subjective. I'd say anything that's not FF with the cup chassis as you get the best of everything with that combo, that's not saying the others are 'bad' cars though, just my preference
Understanding it's your first car and you want to spend on it, my advice would be to keep it as is and save your money to put towards a car you want in a couple of years. It is hard to do but my old man gave me that advice and it put me into something decent sooner than I thought
They should keep it to be different. If they went turbo I'd definitely start looking elsewhere. If they, as now, are going to be the only ones with a n/a screamer then I would be reluctant to look beyond it
I assume they're gonna sell a lot in Europe where there's no taste, so the stripes are designed to run through the car on the left and the steering wheel reflects that. They don't really care about us so just slapped a RHD interior in with their LHD wheel
