I was told that when the crank sensors go they don't let the engine Rev at all. So if your car revs you can rule that out.

I had the same fault thrown up when my car cut out. And you saw the state of my crank sensor. Have a look at that first. Even just to inspect it.

I don't know, I had it turned it over while looking at the flywheel and it didn't look to be running off centre at all. I'll try the new sensor tomorrow and see what happens

Right, got round to changing the crank sensor tonight after having it diagnosed as such. When I popped the undertray off a wire fell on me, weird. It turns out it was the wire that plugs into the crank sensor. Brilliant I thought. Plugged that back in, turned the ignition on to let the car...

Crap picture and wrong car but the 'squarer' 225 section fronts fill the arches better and give it a much better look than the 215 section rears with a bit of stretch and more arch gap. Both are 45 profile.
