Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

Thanks Neil didnt really have to sell but just thought it was a waste sitting in the corner of the garage un used. I'm sure if I'm up at track the new owner would give me a shot, but not sure if I would want to as that's how I ended up buying it back last time around 🤣🤣 I kept a set of track...

I'm sure you will still see it going round knockhill , probably faster than I could ever make it go.

Not me but I'm sure the old owner of this now goes by "hothatch hunter". He recently had a nice trophy forsale parked next to his ferrari.

    ilya's 172 #BECAUSE_RACE_CAR

Love this build with all the little touches , more so that its all home built. With the roll center kit thats the 4th one i know of thats sheared in the same position , a friend is looking into getting some new pins machined out of higher quality steel and also with out the lock nut. He had...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

Good choice Andy think you would of regretted it long term if you got rid , will make the ideal pairing with the GT4. I was looking at the add for the cheap one on here the other day thinking it would probably be a better option than my track car for all the use it gets.

    group N cam timing

I fully agree with this but the guy that does my mapping has mapped the car 3 times in the past under different states of tune with no issues. Its not really as issue as out on track never below 2000 rpm any way just in the pits it can be a bit jerky not helped by the gearbox.

    group N cam timing

Jenvey 48's Had this same issue both on standard injectors and peco 480 injectos which have a narrower spray pattern. In the past i have ran this set up of bodies, ecu, exhaust , on a standard engine , standard engine with ED cams , high comp engine with ED cams and we have never had this issue.

    group N cam timing

Yes power at the wheels Feels good, with good pull through the rev range , different to drive as now on a seq gearbox. I dont have any idle videos but it idles smooth at around 900 rpm.

My old engine with this box would of been brilliant, its actually easier than i thought to use the box on track.

High comp engine with wild cams you say :)

    group N cam timing

I would need to ask the mapper but I know it would not change no matter what he did , as soon as it was over 2k it cleared we also tried it with the dephaser disconnected and at different switch points. Not an issue on track just while moving about in the pits.

    group N cam timing

My latest power run with group n timing and jenvey bodies , we ended up fitting larger injectors to be safe. One issue I am having is poor running below 2000 rpm , no matter what fuel and timing the car hesitates . As soon as the car is over 2000 rpm it clears and pulls perfect , one theory...

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

If I ever do decide to get rid of it , i will probably break or at least despec it considerably. Just now Im hoping to use it when I can as that's the spending finished on it at least.

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

Couple more pics from last week. I'm going to try and get a couple of track days booked for Sept before the baby comes then will probably shelf the car until next year. It really could do with a quick blow over to freshen the paint up again but will hold off on that until I know if I will be...

I was really impressed with the diff in the sadev , seemed to be smoother than my old gripe and let me get the power on earlier. This was confirmed by John when he was in the passenger seat as he also use to have a gripper.

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

My rev counter was working fine , I wired and calibrated the fuel level sensor yesterday so probably just messed something up in the dash 2 file. If i had my laptop with me i could of checked revs from the ecu and messed with the dash. Sadly no onboard vids as i didn't bother fitting my go pro

All went well I'm happy to say bar the rev counter not working correctly on the dash from the ECU.

That was at the wheels so will be close to 200 at the fly I would think. Looking forward to eventually getting it out on track tomorrow eventually to give it a shake down. Only thing I need to do still is sort and calibrate the fuel gauge , but may just have to top up the tank each session tomorrow.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

I had a look on the ECU interface list and cant see the typhoon or Delta 400 on it so not sure what the typhoon was running. Easy to check by plugging into the dash and checking the set up.

Green Track Cup - Back To Basics

Dropped the car off yesterday to get fueling checked after changing the pump as I'm booked on track on Wed night. Got a shout from Simon at Sitch this morning to say he ended up fitting my larger injectors and adjusting the map to suit and it was responding well with smooth curve and 173 bhp so...

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

With any luck it's just a case of selecting the new ECU from the dash2 interface menu. My laptop is lying in my car at Sitech but going there tomorrow so will check the dash2 software to see if the new ECU is on the list.
