de-cats do make a differance
to me a differance i can feel is definatly quicker, cos temps outside e.t.c can make a good diff and arnt that noticeable
on mine i sacrificed a bit of low down pull for quite a bit of top end which is brilliant and defo was quicker
not that on all cars its...
its got a 2l bottom end, cams, head work, chip, ind kit, magnex zorst an de-cat
red harnesses and a racin driver behind the wheel with the reflexes of obi-wan-kenobi on speed
lol i just need to upgrade to titanium woven ones like lee majors has an ill be even quicker
a bionic left leg would do as well to enable superfast gearchanges
but out of the car id only be able to run really fast in circles
erm well till nick reads valver with a turbo conv goes down the strip im claimin this one

my chipped 2 litre with valver box revs to 6900 will still not hit 60 in second gear
a willy with standard rev limit will only do about 56-57mph in second mines just on the line for 60mph but testing with ap-22 itll never register 60 bouncing off limiter in second

well personally after driving both id say first is slightly differant, second and third and fourth are more or less identical an 5th is differant, 5th the more noticable
5th is definately longer in willy box as mine will rev to 6900 an will do 140mph willy engine an box will rev to 6500 and...
richy id say ur clutch was toast mate
clio16vboy have u checked ur flywheel my mates cav was eating clutches and this was down to a warped flywheel it wasnt obvious by driving it either
get a local machine shop to give it a skim

yeh its a tiny bit smaller than the fanswitch its on the front of the block but faces downwards into the sump
if you can get ur hand in u mite be able to feel it but i doubt it without knowing whereabouts it is

the switch is on the front of the block to get it out bonnet has to come off and the fan, then u might be able to get the rad far enough forward to get the switch out prob quicker to take rad out tho
when i did it i was draining coolant anyway and changing fan switch so i took the rad out...
better and better but nowhere near my j reg valvers time of 9.197 @ 78.5 mph hehe
i ran an 8.8 1/8th mile time early in the day as well but the 9.1 was from my overall best quarter mile time
