Re: Road/Track 172
I havent done anything really to the car for the last few months as I bought a MK2 focus RS so have been using that, so the clio took a back seat and got moved to my parents out the way as the focus exhaust kept setting the alarm off.
Re: Road/Track 172
I got a shot of Sitech's corner weight scales to set mine up at home , but they could easily set your car up down at there place in Rosyth.
im hoping to get to as many as possible and try some English tracks aswell, that's my mates 106 behind me in the pics. It's over 30bhp...
Re: Road/Track 172
Well after thinking of selling the clio at the end of last year and actualy getting an offer of my full asking price , I bottled it and decided to keep it for some fun:D
Since then the only new mods done are some nice blue harnesses that came out of my new focus RS, and a...
Kelv i still have my caged and bodied one, but if I sell the range rover I may be buying my old Porsche back. That would leave me with two cars that arent really daily dutie friendly, If that does happen I might have to sell the caged one :S
China or more theroads and shipyards over here are...
Nope I'm over in china justnow so not advertised it other than on the two ford sites. Will take your black Clio as px :-)
The range rover is in at my mates garage this week actually getting the front anti roll bar bushes done as that's really the only fault I had with it.
Re: Road/Track 172
Haha yip she's a porker but goes well so might have to jump In again  , still not 100 % yet as the clio is such a fun car on the road so on track should be even better.
Re: Road/Track 172
I might be buying my old 911 turbo back but it now has a rear cage so will leave me with two fairly impractical 2 seater cars, I am half tempted to keep the Clio and fit an interior but not sure how much work will be involved.
Would buying a rolling shell to build up from not work out cheaper if your doing a full build ? Something like this ?

Morgan im running a 15mm spacer on the rear and with the pro race 1.2 ET35 I could not go any wider I may actualy take a few mill off the spacer or get a set of these in 10mm as I think on track the rear drivers side will rub.
Love that sound, had gripper front and rear diffs with a 6speed dog box in one of my old cosworths
excuse the video quality but the sound is worth it.
Not good that a simple thing like that was missed during design, a simple groove cut into the splines for a O ring that would then seal against the inside of the sleeve would be the easiest fix. But as you say after paying that sort of ££ for a diff having to make repairs isnt good.
Re: Road/Track 172
Final power output was 174.8 bhp at the wheels and 166.1 lbft , I picked the car up tonight and love the way it goes it just revs so much more freely than before.
Also bought these to use as track wheels with 888's or Ao48's for track then use the 1.2's with Yokos for road...
Re: 172 Cup track toy!
Good luck on Sat hope it stays dry for use, I cant beleive my car is sitting mapped and ready to go 10 min from Knockhill and I wont be home untill Sat night :(. Is there any more trackdays/nights this month at Knockhill ?
Something similar to above would be a good option as it gives the added benefit of taking play out of the lower joints. Would be good to see what someone like MK Motorsport could come up with for clio's.
Re: Road/Track 172
Could anyone confirm the part number for Megane 225 injectors as 8200511099 please, looks like im going to need to order some as the standard injectors are showing 100% at 7400 rpm.
I think every tuner will have good and bad stories, what makes the difference is how they deal with it. From what ive seen on this thread James has been ripped off and paid for parts not fitted and TDF has done nothing to try and deffend themself.
I went through a similar thing with a cosworth a...
