i think the 1.4 is the better alrounder, more power and with a lad like yourself driving you will see better mpg out of the 1.4 also :D the 1.2 8v is flat end of the 1.2 16v is alright but no speed machine the 1.4 8v is a nasty engine poor design etc etc the 1.4 16v nice engine resonable power...
