My car has just been to Chipsaway today to have a scuff taken out of my alloy wheel.. did a great job £50.00.. They have a unit near Angmering near Worthing.. droped in there last night and it was ready at 11.00 this morning.. will use them again if I have to
I had a MG TF before I got my clio.. mine had a blue roof that was a bit faded when I bought it.. I used the autoglym cabriolet kit and it bought it up quite well, you get a sponge to use with the cleaner then a protector to spray on afterwards to help reduce fading and help with rain beading...
I used meguires clay this weekend on mine and my b/friends car.. very impressed with the results.. more noticable on his car as it is black (mine is silver)..
I used the detailing spray included with the clay then just wiped it over with a microfiber cloth.. (didnt rince the car afterwards)...
I clayed my car today.. it looks nice and shiney and feels smooth.. the clay still looks very clean, not much muck on there at all.. I used it on my exhausts and it bought them up well!!!!
Think it was more noticable on my boyfriends car as his car is black.. mine is silver..
Thanks Rich.. will give the soap and water a try today with mine, then I can hold onto the QD for a bit longer.. I held onto the old bit of clay to do my glass and wheels ;)
doesnt it go streaky?? and do you have to wash the car again afterwards?? spose it works out cheaper than using QD.
Going to do my car today, I split the clay bar in two so there was enough to do mine!
my cousin always takes his car to Baldocks.. he says out of all the renault dealers in our area (worthing/brighton) he has recieved the best service from them.. might take mine there in future rather than tates brighton :dead:

Well after 3 weeks of waiting I had a call this morning from the manager of my Renault dealer.. She had recieved my letter and apologised for the way I had been...

I clayed my boyfriends black golf today, and I am amazed by the results.. this stuff is brilliant.. His paintwork looks as good as new and feels really smooth and for some reason the nastu scratch doesnt look as bad (someone kindly keyed...
This weekend I am going to clay my boyfriends car.. He has got a black golf gti (which he vary rarely washes). I wash and polish it for him as oftern as I can (when I am not doing my car!) but the paint work still feels bumpy and rough afterwards, not smooth.. After claying I will give it a few...
I was impressed with it, especially as it only cost a £5!!!
I washed the car and dryed it off at that was it.. looks good, my friend asked if I had polished it.. so it must look ok!!!!
I bought some Turtle Wax Extreme Nano-Tech wash and wax (its on 3 for 2 in Halfords) I was quite impressed with it.. Lathered up well and left a nice shine to the car... :D
There is a company in our area called dent magician.. took quite a bad dent out of my old Zetec S car door for £30.00, he also took a dent out of my b/friends car wing (someone kicked a football at it) and he charged £40.00... both were black cars he did a really good job...
As long as it hasnt buckled the wheel you could get the chunk filled in by a bodyshop??
might be cheaper than buying a while new alloy. When I had my zetec s I buckled the alloy and it cost me £190 for a new one!!!
